Not only do I see few manual GTB's on the market, when they do come to market, they're the same ones we've seen before. Which implies the selection is slim.

I'd stick with TTForce's last data point. 10k mi, clean title/carfax, 1995 Black Berlinetta - $320k. Yes, that's with a "3."

 

Agreed on driving 355s versus turning them into garage ornaments. Unless you have a very low mileage car, there's no point in letting them sit hoping for a big pay day.

The 355 is a driver's car by nature that also happens to be beautiful to look at and is appreciating as a result. Certain cars are best suited for the museum like brass era cars, but not the 355.

Honestly, I think the value appreciation in the last 3 years is over 100% on certain specs. Spiders are now pulling what Berlinettas and GTSes were pulling 3 years ago.

 

I'll take that bet (just to be the consummate contrarian). Although anything is possible on BaT and that is certainly a nice combo/car. But I think the blue GTS was a reasonable high mark for 355s. Here's my logic:

'95 > '98
GTS > GTB (pricing-wise, acknowledging this is relatively subjective)
Blue is much rarer than black
Both dealers have good reputations, so I'd call that a wash.

The black car has less miles, which collectors will pay for, but (as stated several times in this thread) is not necessarily desirable depending on intended use for the car. And there are divided opinions (primarily based on what the buyer intends on doing with the car) on how much color affects desirability. (Rarity/Resale conundrum).

He also joined the group a week ago and his FB profile has nothing.

 

The last time someone asked $3-4k for carbon seats from Eastern Europe on FB, I know he fooled at least one person. Guy sent him funds, never heard from him again. This is not hearsay. This is from the guy who was scammed.

Stay sharp gentlemen. If it’s too good to be true, it is.

 

And just like that, his FB profile has disappeared.

The guy from Eastern Europe who was selling carbon seats off "his Silver GTB" for $4k presented seats that were from a 99 MY. They were in plain weave carbon. I asked him what year his car was. He said it was a 95. Knew he was BSing right then and there. Other than that, he seemed believable, so I felt he might actually get someone. Turns out he did. The moment I asked for proof (more pics, vids, etc) he says it's sold.

I think the accident history & paint work is going to severely hurt the final price for the seller.
