I actually grew up a rabid NASCAR fan, watching the only race televised in NYC metro in the 70s, the Daytona 500, on wide world of sports! I've always been and will always be a "Ford Guy". I befriended the owners of Pocono raceway in '01, thru a business arrangement, in which I am basically part of the family today and am their guest at every race, albeit NASCAR, past INDY, etc, etc.
In '87 @ 17, my first new car was a Mustang GT. I worked it to the max, "slinging the spanners" myself on many upgrades, in that it made it into the "readers roundup" section of Mustang magazine. 4 readers submissions were picked per quarter and selected! So since then Mustang wise, I've owned a new '02 Roush 360R (Jack signed it @ Pocono for me) and a new '08 Roush P51A. The P51 is still my greatest regret and I sold it w/ under 2k on the clock! It's funny because the guy that bought it, to this day, still contacts me to say hello and send pics, etc. So here's the only pic I have at hand of mine and a link to BAT, really showcasing a prime example! Keen eye will notice that the tail and hood scoop are a lighter silver, because Roush wanted it replicate a P51 in war, in which has newly replaced parts due to bullet holes, etc. Also, the red and white badging, represents a very famous squadron during WW2.
6k-Mile 2008 Ford Mustang Roush P-51A for sale on BaT Auctions - sold for $39,000 on April 13, 2021 (Lot #46,197) | Bring a Trailer

Beautiful car and it still had that old Porsche special sauce.

Very timely thread for me, as I just got one back yesterday that I regretted selling.
Did the “responsible” “new dad” …..right thing to do, 27 yrs ago. Wife got pregnant with our first child so I sold the first fun, really nice, serious sports car (well it was to me) , that I ever bought. An 87 guards red, 911 coupe, whale tail, had everything I wanted…loved that car. Found an 88 a couple days ago, same exact package, and the best one I’ve seen, driven, etc… since I sold mine. Picking it up tomorrow.

This is going to get depressing. I'll start with the Ferraris.

    1998 Maranello.

    2004 Challenge Stradale.

    1967 330 GTC.

Next up will be the Porsches.

    Actually, no.

I had an E30 M3 Evo1 and sold it. In part to buy my first Ferrari. So no regrets. :D

I had the 4 door E class, the Hammer was never made in a SEC, the 2 dr version of it was a CE, no one really knew what they were back in the day, today they are the most sought after 1980's mercedes.

I sold my GMC truck to get a van for my wife and kids. I’ve always loved that ride.
