Did a Papadia at Papa John's (like a calzone) the other night. Last night was pizza from an independent place. It has been in the same location 30 years. Owned by Greeks, so they have a few Greek dishes on the menu. Was good, I'll order from them again.

Tired of take out and got a chicken out of the freezer last night. Cooked it on the grill and have some potato salad as a side. Brother and Dad are helping me eat it. They are stealing my truck for a states trip.

While back east my cousin had us over for dinner and grilled some chicken with a local vinegar based marinade that interestingly enough is from a company that does a lot of charity type BBQ events. Ties in with Tom's recent exploits. :) It's called Chiavetta's and it's really good. I ordered a bottle from Amazon after I got home.

They only had thighs at the store last night so I threw them in a baggie with some sauce to marinate overnight. Then fired up the grill tonight. Made some mushrooms and a tomato salad. The tomatoes are out of the garden, mostly little red and gold cherry ones with basil from out there too.. Didn't have any fresh Moz or burrata so tried a little touch of ricotta on top. Tasty. Oh and a salad with fresh carrots out of the garden too.

I'm in central Washington State and had a NY strip med rare with fries and Ceasar salad as a side. Tonight I'm headed home and pass a Chick-Fil-A, will be trying them for dinner.

Chick-Fil-A is pretty good. Popeye's is a little better with their chicken sandwich though.

We had pizza last night from a local deli. Was really good. Friday night pizza and a movie night. The pizza was better than my choice of movie.

Yeah. We gave up on movie early in our marriage. I like old movies and she doesn't like watching movies at all! [emoji2]

We're headed to Central Texas, off roading with Porsche friends. Stopped in Early, Texas and made the bold call to try an Italian place since the parking lot was crowded and one of the locals gave us a thumbs up?

Wife had chicken piccata. I had the pasta sampler - manicotti, ziti and tortellini. Not bad. Wife's selection was better.

Our usual route is I-5 to Everett and pick up highway 2. But a wildfire closed 2 and we had to detour to 90. Added an extra 2hrs to our drive. 2 was open on the drive back.....................

UFC night with my dad and brother. They are having pizza and I'm getting lasagna with meatballs. From this place: Damiano's Pizza (damianospizza.ca)
