No idea. Though they do have what I imagine is an earlier version of it offered as the AF pack. But I can give you my conjecture/ theory: In the press materials Multi Matic says they have been working with Ferrari to develop this and its the first use on a road car. So it wasn't ready for the other models. Those models do offer what seems to be a variation of this setup- but one that isn't as active and doesnt allow for the driver to set different stiffness levels / and no lifting ability. Also this suspension looks fairly tall in the diagrams, perhaps they can shrink it down for the smaller cars or maybe its just looking like that because its in a relatively taller vehicle. I think this is the next generation suspension system. But the Magnaride suspension served them well for a long time. As the cars become even more complex and sadly even heavier, this might pay huge dividends for those who are fortunate to drive these wonderful machines. Whether it be revolutionary or not, time will tell.
The criticism of many air suspensions is they aren't as connected feeling. Is that what the standard Urus utilizes? The Ferrari system uses metal springs- Im not sure if they are titanium as on the other Multimatic suspension cars.
Jerry, for a long time I was convinced that the Purosangue would come equipped with an air suspension system, perhaps innovative and sportier, as I couldn't see any other possible way to vary the ride height of the FUV around 80 mm (3.2 inches) . I have been driving SUVs with air suspension for many years and I must say that in terms of comfort in normal road it is a very effective system, but when it comes to sportier driving, that feeling of connection that you refer and that you feel for example in the Lusso, gives the idea that in a certain way it gets lost. Once again, Ferrari surprised us with this Multi Matic suspension that it installed for the first time on the Purosangue and that apparently manages to break the laws of physics in a truly revolutionary way.
I have the exact same reaction and thought Mario. I just hope this will help with tire and wheel damage. If its near as easy to incur this damage as with the GTC4 then I think they have more work to do- I actually think this is the biggest (apparent to me) risk to the long term of how people enjoy these cars. offcourse a “everyday” Ferrari makes sense, why not ?? I love driving my cars every day, but I just can’t, because they don’t fit my, (and alot ofbothers) everyday lifestyle ! This car does ! I will love driving the mountains roads in Portugal with my wife AND daughter in the back … So again, why not if you can spend the money …
Why? What I stated is absolutely true. In the USA this type of vehicle is considered a truck, not a car. Its why SUV vehicles can get around the mileage and pollution standards that passenger cars can't. This was not a joke. Its fact.
Because when you do something everyday, its no longer special. And there are already 4 or 5 car makers out there making similar products already. Why is there a need for a 6th?
different players with different cars. I wouldn’t want a Urus or Dbx, I love the brand, and will love to drive a Ferrari on a daily basis, and it will still feeling special. A V12 na will do,the trick for sure, so,why not. I know it is 100k too much, but I hope it’s resale value will make up for that, and if it doesn’t, well you only live once …

Not a fact. This is nothing like a truck. People are being silly. And yes, I’m in the USA. Nobody I know would remotely consider this a truck. Again, being silly. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat

I don’t think anyone would have minded a sub brand endorsed by Ferrari for this car, and who knows maybe that’s the long term plan to spin Purosange off into its own thing.
I did a quick look and you are correct that the EPA has stupidly lumped many things in a “truck” vs “car” category. I don’t see how anyone can confuse a minivan with a truck but bureaucrats apparently do. Do we know if the PS is a truck according to the EPA? The Rolls Royce sedans are pretty darn tall, are they trucks? If they are as tall as the Honda CRV, they should be! Haha! I think the whole truck commentaries regarding the PS are silly! I find this hard to believe. In the UK (and Europe in general), a truck is a commercial vehicle with a carrying capacity over a certain limit and separate compartments for passengers and goods.
