why? there are a few asking more on carsales? I don't like it when they repainted the bottom sill ... should stay as black
Left hook for $380k! and yepI did just look at C/S and noticed the dosh being asked.....GLWS is all I can say. Nuts!
Lol. Thanks everyone. The new owner is a very nice guy. Proper enthusiast etc. He will love and enjoy what is a genuinely fantastic car. Maybe I should do a thread “My real life experience with a non Aussie delivered Ferrari (as opposed to the BS you will read online)…”
As you know, I’ve had four UK cars and would happily get another. For those playing at home, buy based on condition
Spot on. This gentlemen has been looking for quite a while and could not have cared less about it being UK delivered (nor could he have cared less about it being an F1, for that matter). He knew the moment he saw it that it was by far the best one he’d seen for sale, and promptly bought it. Just like any sensible person would. The idea that you would pay more money for a worse car just because it is Aussie delivered is, frankly, weird. I understand that for some people that’s important but obviously for many others it’s not. But what would I (or you) know?
Well done and savvy move. A very good car sells quickly when priced correctly. Judging by the storm clouds on the economic horizon, anyone who has sold their car this year (on the proviso they wanted to sell their car) has gotten out in the nick of time. If all other asset prices are starting to fall (shares, homes etc), collectibles (including cars) can't be too far behind. Congrats.
Good on you Steve. Going to buy anything while waiting for the Lotus? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Cheers Jon. I’ll probably grab a convertible just for a few months over summer while I wait. Something like this will do. https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/2017-bmw-4-series-430i-m-sport-f33-lci-auto/SSE-AD-12863755
+1 I should have sold mine also while I had the chance, would only get $50K for it..............but would have been an easy sale at least.
Surprise surprise someone here will disagree with you and it'll be me....................................to a certain extent and with proof. I believe you''re probably correct with the higher volume cars BUT as Carsales will show, all the earlier imported, from 328 backwards, are not selling and this includes all the FEV12OHO's and the few carby 308's. Gotta go.
As I said, I understand that for some buyers Aussie delivered is important, but for a lot of others it is not. My car was bought entirely based on its condition. Nothing else was important to the buyer. Not where it was delivered to. Not the transmission. Not whether it had shields or not (but I’m sure that helped. ) There are several cars that seem to sit on Carsales forever, both Aussie delivered and not. I’d suggest they’re not selling because as Greg said above the asking price does not reflect the condition of the car. Simple as that.
Simon is part of the Aussie Delivered cult now. Helps him justify the purchase of a car with a diff that exploded
