I think Wes's comment was in relation to Metcalfe's comment in the video. I guess the Daytona was the 'IT' car of its time and so is used as a reference point for the Espada in the video.

I don't understand why people compare all Ferrari 365s against the Daytona and think any other 365 as some sort of detuned and/or long wheelbase Daytona - this a ***** to all those car advertisements or Youtube videos and not in relation to anyone's comment on here .

As Ian (KIAI) has written on here so many times, a Daytona has a significantly upgraded engine (downdraughts webers as an obvious start), transaxle gearbox, chassis etc that it is significantly different. And yet, people still want to say their 365 GT4 2+2, C4, 365 GT 2+2 is 'just' a LWB detuned "Daytona".

I reckon a 365 GT 2+2, C4 or 365 GT4 are good enough to stand on their own merits without having to be seen as some sort of detuned LWB version of the famed Daytona.

 

In 1998 on the way to TT in my F350 351,the bottom end let go,a mate of where I got the truck towed to knew Bruce.
I was able to access a replacement 351 and Hoddo came to assess and fit it and test drive the rig.
