Hi, is it just me or does anyone else have problems successfully closing the trunk/boot lid. It's always been tricky on my QV, did Ferrari improve it in later models? You have to push down on the lid several times for it to finally 'click'. Even this doesn't feel very convincing as a 'security measure'. So is there any solution to get it to 'click shut' the first time? If nothing else it doesn't look very cool constantly opening and pushing down!:(

The rubber seal is pretty stiff and if lid is adjusted for good fit can be hard to latch. Best I have found is to press right in the middle where latch is located and lean in some and increase pressure until audible click is heard.

I haven't needed to mess with these latches yet but the latch itself is held on with 2 bolts. It seems straightforward enough to loosen it and see if you can move it ever so slightly upwards so it engages when the lid is higher up. Given how handbuilt this car is, it stands to reason that there's probably some amount of adjustability there. If its not latching because you cannot push the trunk lid down far enough, i'd venture to guess you aren't going to make the problem worse by experimenting.

Much easier still. If the trunk lid fits, it's adjusted right.

I'm curious, does no one else have problems with the trunk lid. I've always found it a bit strange and not terribly secure.

Yes, I had an issue with the trunk lid as well. It seems they get out of whack when the trunk is left open for a while, as well. At least, that is what happened to my car. I ended up lubing the latch mechanism (those things are tight, usually need some lithium grease) and then I moved the U sized hook a little to the right and it started catching again. As I understand one should not slam the trunk lid down, rather use light pressure when closing it.

The U latch is adjustable in height - it's got 3 nuts either side of the bracket, and is fitted in slots. So yes, it's totally adjustable. The lock however is essentially fixed in position.

Pretty common issue , i find that if I place both hands to each side of the lid and pull down is the best technique

Take care adjusting the U bolt. Too much distance will not allow the latch to free and getting the latch undone is quite the effort to get it off.
