@Almost Interesting There are a lot of folks here that are ready to eat their own. You're not the first to be baffled by the phenomenon. There is a big difference between not liking elements of a marque and bashing wholesale. Legacy is a big part; tastes and opinions change, I get it. It's funny that the old time critiquers seem to forget this forum's raison d'etre.
What's wrong with the FF? I mean, I respect that you may think it looks like a turd; beauty, after all, is in the eye of the beholder. However, I believe it's classless to be insulting owners' cars here, a major faux pas. When has Ferrari ever had Toyotaesque Quality? You seem to be longing for a Ferrari enigma that never existed. It's like if you said you wish Spielberg would go back to making small-budget arthouse films - what? *** Yes, I am a Ferrari Fanboi; this is Ferrarichat, is it not? What did you expect? I would insult Ferrari, their cars, and the owners here? Gee, what a revelation, folks at Rennlist are Porsche fans. do tell!?! Care to guess how quick the ban would be if my first post is: "Porsche can wrap a turd and it will still sell"
I think the major element here is *used* to. I might have eaten at Mcdonald's 10 years ago, doesn't mean I like it today. But, then, why would I spend time so much time at a Mcdonald's forum if I don't? What a riddle.
To be fair I just got back from the dealer where I heard essentially the same comment that Texas made. So if it's sacrilege to be negative here on a forum imagine doing it in person in their church!!!
Who said he couldn't hate on Ferrari? People often confuse being called out with censorship—two very different things. Though I agree, there is a fine line between trolling and being a critic. Simple question, if Ferrari are turds, then why was the person who made a comment at the dealership? Strange way to express one's disdain if you ask me. I'm not a fan of the Prius, but it would be weird if I went out of my way to go to a Toyota dealership and make sure the other folks there hear me say I don't like Toyota. You know, kind of like going out of my way to spend all my time on a Toyota forum so I can let all of those folks know all Toyota are turds. I'm just a simple man that delights in asking simple questions that expose cognitive dissonance. (actually, we know what I'm *really* exposing.) That truth I'm pinging is such a sensitive nerve keeps folks coming back to convince themselves otherwise. Yet, I have to remind them this is Ferrarichat. (Like I'm the odd man here or something) ROFL.
This is what I love about Ferrari, though; I'll be frank, the marque has a knack for amplifying folk's inner emotions (for better or worse.) You learn a lot about people.

So why was the guy there? I don’t go to the Aston shop to tell them how lame it is that they have AMG engines in their cars. I just can’t relate to this, what am I missing? For the record, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with constructive criticism, in any forum of life.
Very true. If you’re spending all that time thinking negative thoughts about someone who isn’t thinking about you at all, you have to ask yourself who is prospering in that dynamic.
I grew tired of car forums whiners and can’t be bothered pointing out the obvious which generally falls on deaf ears so thank you for you having the strength to type exactly what I, so many times, wanted to write in response to the nonsense you generally hear from the moaners, pointing out hypocrisy is often a fun game but the older I get the less patience I have for incompetents.
Multi car customer who was there visiting the same SA as I was. FWIW it was during a friendly conversation and wasn’t at all insulting. I uncharacteristically kept my opinion to myself. Lol, I thought of this thread and knew better. I will say I’ve never seen a model this polarizing. Hopefully I’ll see one in the flesh at Cavallino. If it’s there I’ll be sure to hang out awhile and eavesdrop to hear what everyone has to say.
Im just sharing my experience. No judgement either way. He is an owner. He didn’t say all Ferraris are “turds”. He essentially expressed his disdain for the PS and that he thought the only reason it will sell is because of the badge. Which IMO was a more polite way of expressing Texas’ point. I love the passion it evokes. It’s still not my thing but I have to admit I love objects that stir the soul, good or bad. I just might be admitting I was wrong here in January if I see it at Cavallino. Wouldn’t be the first time I changed my opinion about a car.
If the Purosangue were a hybrid, perhaps it would be excusable for someone out of ignorance to mix it up with an electric vehicle. However it happens that we are in the Ferrari chat and the Purosangue is not just any Ferrari but one with an ICE V12. Unforgivable to compare the Purosangue with a Tesla
Someone should tell the Ferrari designers this, I would hate for it to be mistaken as another vehicle
If you want to know the fate of this new flavor of the month marketing scam..just search Lamborghini Urus on ebay and other auction sites...lots for sale..no buyers.
From what I have read, I thought the Urus has held its value reasonably well and demand has been strong in both the primary and secondary markets. Is this not so? Will be interesting to see what happens to prices if the economy makes a significant dip. My wife loves the Urus, the Puro - not so much, but we've not seen the PS in the metal...T
