    A household favorite
I didn’t mix mine up yet it looks pretty scary post mixup :)

Iceberg lettuce bag with shredded carrot mixed bag of salad thingy
    Catalina salad dressing
    Shredded cheese
    Frito-Lay corn chips
    Ground beef taco-seasoned
    Mix it all up

Voila! The best thing known to man. Lol. Might replace schnitzel as my death row meal. I don’t know why I absolutely love it.

ha, my mom used to make a salad pretty much exactly like that and it is indeed yummy!

hmmm...knowing my mom, it had to be on the back of one of the items' packaging ;)

Kind of like Frito with a twist, although I have to admit, the Catalina dressing is an unexpected twist!

I hesitated to watch Tokyo Story for a long time as I worried it couldn't live up to the hype. I finally made the time, and it was as good as advertised. I still like Late Spring better.

Stole my brother's phone! Bella is great. She needs her yearly shots soon. That is never fun.

Was lazy today, made a couple tortizzas with low carb tortillas. Not bad and much easier than trying to make a crust. Just pepperoni and cheese. Thought I had some mushrooms but I guess I used them up the other day.

Two days ago made a Costco trip so had chicken and salad. Then yesterday threw some of the chicken in a pan with some peppers and tomatoes for a kind of almost cheater fajitas. Not bad.

Harvest time! About a dozen still green on the vines. Let’s see if they will ripen.

Tomato on the left is probably largest from the garden ever!

Brother and sisters visited last weekend and left Tuesday with boxes of maters to bring back to Cali.

Long week with the family here. So simple meal tonight of scratch tomato soup (Ina Garten’s recipe [I like her recipes in general]), fresh maters and mozzarella salad with Malden salt flakes, and grilled cheese sammiches (only the best with Kraft singles :D). I know, probably a bit of a waste making soup, but no way I can eat all the remaining tomatoes before they go bad.

    And a BIG martini!!!

Jealous! With the heat wave this past summer, our garden has been a disaster. Tomatoes we got early on before it got hot, and not since June. 1 cucuzza, and I think they're done for the season. A few of the chilies held on- Bishop's cap, sugar rush peach and ahi lemon - those in the shadier parts of the garden. So, am hoping we have a good long while before our first hard freeze, and maybe salvage something for this year.

Chicken thighs on the gasser. I slathered mine with a curry sauce I made a while back and had in the freezer.
I forgot the recipe - and could not find it here - but it was spicy and tasty.

Wanted to get the fois gras poutine at https://www.aupieddecochon.ca/us/en/ but pretty hard to get in that place....especially with Canadian Thanksgiving on Monday coming. Fois gras on top of duck fat fried fry's, cheese curds and duck liver gravy....hmmmm . I still am on the hunt for poutine......

A chicken, mixed veggies, and rice in a bowl from Costco last night. Tonight is teen burgers at A&W. Thanksgiving Monday. I have a four-bone prime rib for the family and me. My mom wants to cook it tomorrow. Get a turkey or ham and have that Thanksgiving.
