Really appreciate all the advice and comments. Feeling good about the spec now just need to get there in person and give it a drive (and ask for more details about the history to check it's not a lemon) On the question about building a relationship with a dealer - perhaps I'm being naive here, but my understanding is there are very few (if any) dealers in the US taking new orders right now. I'm sure they will open up at some point but thought when they do being an existing customer they know probably gives a slightly better chance of allocation down the road (e.g. roma spider, 296 gts etc).
I was invited to purchase a 296 gts without any previous history. I’m sure it varies with the dealer. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Little follow up to this, called Wide World and they told me there is no official fitted Ferrari car cover for long term storage, just the loose cover sheet that was pulled off the car when delivered. Does this sound right to anyone?
Mine comes in Nov too! I am super excited... Have you been following your build on the app?? Image Unavailable, Please Login
I didn’t know the panoramic roof was listed as an option on the Roma. Or maybe a specific request? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Wow, Is it real or phtoshopped? @Marcel Massini could you please let us know your insight? Thank you.
What do you mean by indoor cover? Do you mean the loose one that just drapes over the car that they pull off when you take delivery?
Yes I have, car has shipped and I'm hoping that it really is released by customs and can deliver in February. I will post pics once it lands, Atelier build with a CRAZY amount of options, I'm hoping it looks great. Here is the body with painted shields. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Very very interesting, many thanks for the info. I know this well known owner likes to personalize his cars without limits (modifying his own F12 TRSs as an example), and adding a panoramic roof on a Roma is a wise idea!
If you know this guys cars there's typically nothing standard about them. My guess is given his relationship with Ferrari anything he did was at least coordinated with the factory.
Image Unavailable, Please Login I saw this absolutely stunning Roma at Ferrari New York last night! Beyond the amazing color combo, I love the painted shields!
Interesting... Not only did I never recieve one when taking delivery of the car they told me Ferrari does not make an official car cover that is available for purchase.
Recently returned from a 6 day rally to Telluride. My Roma performed admirably and was comfortable for the long trip. It is a great GT IMHO.
I’m putting in an order for a roma tomorrow. Will be first time owner. Now the long 18-24 months wait for it. Very nervous. Still overcoming the high price anxiety!
