My 458 needs a tire change, given that the car has the Aperta rims and after some research, it seems the best sizes to go for are:

    245/35/20
    295/35/20

Would there be a difference between the K1 and K2? As the suppliers here in Dubai do not have K2s for the rear tires so I can either go for K1 all around or K2 in the front and K1 in the back, what do you guys think?

I did a quick search and there were a few threads on this. Many of the comparisons were between an aftermarket vs. an OE (K1, K2, K3, N0,TPC and so on) version of the same tire model. There appears to be big differences between OE and aftermarket versions. There was not a lot of info on differences between OE versions. On my 488GTB I run the K3 Pilot Super Sports and they are great. I do run the stock size and its a 305-30-20 in the rear and 245/35/20 in the front. I would recommend using the stock sizes and the same version (K1) all around. I would not mix K1 with K2. See below.

This video shows just how different an OE vs. aftermarket Michelin tires.

This is Porsche recommendation "If a vehicle was originally delivered with N-specification tires that have been discontinued and are no longer available, it is recommended to change all four tires to a higher numeric N-specification design appropriate for that vehicle. Mixed tire types are not permissible." https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=26

On my 2016 Corvette Z06/Z07 I have gone through 12 sets of tires and always matched versions in stock sizes. Pilot Sport Cup 2 Run flat (TPC spec), Pilot Super Sport non-run flat and Pilot Super Sport run flat. I also have a set of Hoosier slicks in stock sizes. I always match versions front and rear including the OE spec. On the Corvette. The Sport Cup 2 run flat(TPC spec) and Pilot Super Sport run flat are great tires for my particular car. The non-run flat Super Sports were noticeably soft and non-responsive. The Hoosier slicks are great, relatively low noise and are non-run flat. However they are not street legal.

You could easily go to 305 instead of 296, no ploblems (I did drive them 2 years).
