My ‘95 usa model has black brake ducts yet doesn’t seem to be a common theme of which units got black versus orange tubing. Small details that peak my interest.
https://www.503motoringsales.com/vehicle-details/1990-ferrari-348-tb-coupe-5893fd885aa34e759f6c0d4a47acc66f Local shop (Portland OR) just listed this 348. Low mileage (under 8k miles) with a clean Carfax.
Perhaps, but not remotely as rough as the yellow 355 Spider. Still only had 27k mi and a clean Carfax. Hammered for almost the same price ($50k). That’s pretty bad for a car Johnk calls “the best looking Ferrari ever made” . I’m indifferent to the result. Just ribbing Johnk as I think it’s funny because it brings in to question his conviction on what looks good and what doesn’t . I for one believe Ferraris are bought on looks, especially older/classic ones. They could run like a turd on wheels, but that hardly matters as that’s part of experiencing a classic.
There is a reason why the 288, F40, 458, 488, F8 and SF90 follow the basic 308 styling concept, which was an improvement over the Dino. Not my fault if you can't see it. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
They were originally developed for the rally circuit. Most people lowered them it seems they looks great lowered. 328 too.
Well, you had a progression: Dino, 308, 328. Then Ferrari broke that progression with the 348 which was designed to capture the Testarossa concept. The 348 was updated to the 355 with better styling ans more HP. The 360 and 430 broke way for that mold for 2 years. Then, IMO, the 458 resumed the character of the earlier cars. First time I saw the 458 my though was just that, "looks like a grown up 308". Feel free to disagree. 488 and F8 further advance that concept. SF90 overdoes it. Ride height has nothing to do with it. But the 308 has very compliant suspension from the factory. I've bottomed mine out a couple of times. Nice 95 spider on BAT. Currently at $99k. I'm thinking $150k hammer.
Kind of.. maybe? Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my SM-G990U using FerrariChat.com mobile app
So what? I don't see a contradiction. I understand the position of the Dino. Doesn't mean I have to like the car.
So John, if you bottomed out your 308 are you admitting you had it over 6,000 RPM? Inquiring minds want to know.

If you google the Vin #, you'll see that it's been listed and unsold on another auction website. There was an accident reported to Carfax from 2020 where the rear was damaged and fixed.
when a car does not sell on bat ,sometimes gonna be difficult to advertise and get more from the highest bid on bat
Obviously I disagree. Comps are quite a bit higher, even given the current downturn. We were close to reserve and I'm in contact with the high bidder. Hopefully we can work something out.
