While I have made no secret that Max is not my favorite driver I can very much respect his talent and how he has polished it over the past few seasons. Last year I really think he was a little too rough around the edges and showed a lack of refinement that was displayed by a number of incidents that I do not think he would have had this year. Nevertheless he did an outstanding job in 2022 and is rightfully World Champion for it. The following video sums Max up nicely:

The video gives Verstappen the credit he deserves better than I could say. At the moment, he is well above the rest, may it continue.
There is more to come, I feel. In my mind, he deserves his 2 titles without question.

Last year he was too rough because the RB16b was slightly inferior compared with the Mercedes.
And he needed it to be competitive against Hamilton during the championship.
He suddenly didn’t improve during the last winter I guess.
Turning point for Max maturity is 2018 after the Monaco GP.
Fact is the RB18 is a fantastic package perfectly fitted to his liking.

Totally agreed on all except the last bit. With some of the weight trimmed out in certain places now the car is a little bit to his liking, but he's still missing the rotation that he wants...

Norris established himself as leader at McLaren, trusting them to improve and give him a winning car one day.

Red Bull has a better car now, by why would he accept being #2 at Team Verstappen?

I fully understand him wanting to be part of his own team, and establishing himself as a number 1 driver.

I think it speaks volumes of Max's confidence having no objections being paired with Norris.

Yeah. Especially when RedBull has built a car tailored to suit Max, Max is looking confident that his team mate has no real chances to beat him hahah :D

But Norris could make a surprise. He would not act like Perez. Give him a RedBull car and this young boy could kick Max's ass pretty soon.

Anyway, Lando knows that it would be even better, whipping Max's and RedBull's ass, while driving for McLaren.
A pity that it is hard to realize, because of the advantage that RedBull built during the budget cap season.

Awesome, apparently max just blacklisted the entire sky media group from interviews due to the constant agenda from Ted Kravitz. Ted has been obsessed with max and started his agenda against him when he started to beat Lewis last year, and went into overdrive since you k ow when.

Good on max. Hope he keeps it up. So hope he makes an exception for Martin and kaprun though :D

It’s not only This Kravitz guy. He is indeed the true spokesman, but the complete Sky team became very biased after last years final.
    Very poor losers they are

Verstappen boycotting Sky Sports in Mexico

After Sky Sports reporter Ted Kravitz made reference to Lewis Hamilton being robbed of the 2021 World Championship, Max Verstappen is allegedly refusing to appear on the network during the Mexico City Grand Prix weekend.

Max Verstappen is refusing to appear on camera for Sky Sports or any of its affiliated channels during the Mexico City Grand Prix weekend, RacingNews365.com has learned.

Verstappen's boycott of UK-based Sky Sports and its German and Italian affiliates comes after the network’s reporter Ted Kravitz implied after last week's United States Grand Prix that Lewis Hamilton was robbed of the 2021 title.

Hamilton had been set to win last year's title-deciding Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and claim his eighth World Championship, but lost out after a late-race Safety Car period bunched the pack up, and rules governing lapped cars overtaking were applied selectively.

This allowed Verstappen, on much fresher tyres, to attack and pass Hamilton on the last lap to take the win and the 2021 title.

    Anti-Verstappen bias on Sky?

Discussing last weekend's United States Grand Prix, which Verstappen won after passing Hamilton for the lead five laps from the end, Kravitz likened the situation to the script of a movie, and referenced Mercedes' supposed inferiority to Verstappen's Red Bull this year.

"[Hamilton] doesn't win a race all year, and then finally comes back at a track where he could win the first race all year, battling the same guy who won the race he was robbed in the previous year, and manages to finish ahead of him," said Kravitz.

"What a script and a story that would have been. But that's not the way the script turned out today, was it?

"Because the guy that beat him after being robbed actually overtook him, because he's got a quicker car, because of engineering and Formula 1 and design, and pretty much because of [Adrian Newey, Red Bull's Chief Technical Officer] over there."

Earlier in the United States Grand Prix weekend, Kravitz had also made reference to Verstappen not winning titles in a 'normal way', after the Dutchman was confirmed as the 2022 Drivers' Champion after the Japanese Grand Prix when Charles Leclerc received a penalty dropping him from second to third.

"Verstappen is around the [Austin] paddock, he seems very happy with himself. He doesn't seem to be a driver capable of winning a championship in a normal way," said Kravitz.
