What a pathetic ending to a race in what Ferrari has turned into a pathetic season. It was pure embarrassment for Leclerc and Sainz, no matter how much money they earn. They should both take the position that if Binotto and his team stay, they will not race but leave the team. I would have rather they DNF'd fighting to the end, than to drive like today, in a mockery Ferrari F1. How many races left...and what will their strategy/excuses be for them?

Boring race, Max managing those tyres was very underrated...made his softs that did quali last as long total laps wise as Lewis' his mediums, and we know how good the merc is on tyres.
Mercedes definitely borrowed the Ferrari strategists this race, the moment they stopped early and bolted the Hard on it was game over for Lewis...to then ignore Archibald request to go long and run softs was even dumber.
Ferrari absolutely nowhere with engine turned down.
I found the penalty on Ric quite harsh, It was over the limit and would put Ric at fault predominantly but it was really, really marginal. 10 seconds for that whilst the russell T bone last week was 5. What?

Max most points in a season (416 from 20 vs 413 from 21), most wins in a season. I think he needs one more to beat Schumacher for most wins in a season on percentage as well? Or is it both races he needs to win for that?

Max needs to win the next 2 races for percentage to beat Schumacher.

I think it's certainly possible, so long there's no reliability gremlings. The percentage one is a really difficult one though, the more races, the harder the percentage one is. Brazil the Ferrari's should be more in play with the Mercedes but Max should be clear of them. Abu Dhabi Max has always gone well and at sea level the Merc won't be as good as it is here.

Remember when Binotto said that he does not see why Ferrari could not win every race left in the season. I'm thinking he meant to say 'Max' :D

I'm so done with F1---what a boring procession--every week. Only a few drivers have a chance to win. I turned it off halfway through.

I live in Austin and have avoided the COTA F1 race for some time now---ticket prices are out of hand now, even for grass seats GA tix.

I bleed Ferrari red, but this is ridiculous.

I"m at EVERY COTA MotoGP race however!

I've followed F1 since the late 80s, and this is just pathetic. Ironic, as F1's popularity is soaring these days.

I MUCH prefer MotoGP, World Superbike, IndyCar-- Hopefully future F1 rules chances will make an ACTUAL PASS possible in a race.

I was expecting a safety car, tyres fading out, something. The most thrilling moment was a brain fade of Ricciardo, who even in his best race of the season had to **** it up.

Oh, well, at least I expect something better from our guys in the remaining races.

Interesting to see the two Ferraris swapping paint at the first couple of corners.
Then they just sat back and put on cruise control.

Is the Ferrari a long wheelbase? It really doesn't seem to like these tight corners.

But hey, there's still two races for Ferrari to fall to third in the constructors points.

Seems like every car except the Ferraris have gotten quicker over the season.

Also seems like you get 10 seconds for taking out another car .... unless it's red.

I turned on the pre-race show 10 minutes late and thought "Lewis must have died" because all they were doing was coving his life. Even during the Brundle BRM stint, they cut to a video of a Hamilton making an overtake in one of the corners Brundle was approaching. ....???? The only bright spot in the coverage was Danica.

This race was pretty dull. Max hits the cruise control. Hamilton drove really well..

Stupid penalty by Riccardo..but 10 seconds was way too harsh considering Russell took out Sainz in the first lap last race and only got a 5 second hit..but he turned it on after that..and still finished in the points. Where was this guy 20 races ago?

Ferrari drivers running pit lane again from the car..

Russell trying to strong arm Benz pit lane for a tire change after Alonso's engine had an unexpected disassembly.

Preze drove like Perez..he seemed a bit disappointed at the end of the race tho.

Overall...for me..a dull race. They need to do something with this circuit to spice it up. Better passing zones something..
