Best option , did it in mine .... easy to install and replace the original " if you need" ( sold mine with OEM muffler ) ........... improvement commensurate with the costs .....

Was the X pipe much better sounding or was it something marginal ?

Unfortunately, the x pipe is marginal, however, it does not require a tune or cause any check engine lights. Picture attached for those interested.

No droning around town or highway. It is still quieter than a valveless 488. For the cost I think it’s worth it. Unfortunately at this time, I’m not aware of any better options without codes or potential warranty issues.

I think a full X pipe is the way to go. My Novitec may all the difference.

This is very subjective but I think at this price point it was worth it. It slightly increased the volume at idle and lower RPMs, although, the exhaust valves can still be heard opening and closing, just not as much. In my opinion, if the valves could stay open the car would be much more enjoyable. My rational for buying the fab speed x pipe was: it has not been known to cause a check engine light, likely the safest from a warranty standpoint, is relatively inexpensive and most importantly, there are no options currently that I am aware of that can be bolted on without some type of check engine light, tune or plug in chip. If looking to transform the car and have it sound like a true Italian thoroughbred it needs a full exhaust.

Had a 458, so the Pista wasn’t checking the sound box.[emoji23] it does now. Super happy

I’m exactly on the same page as you. I’ll soon have the x pipe installed. I’ll do videos on before and after and share with everyone.

Wouldn't the Forza take care of this? It does it for the 458 and it does change the character of the car (sound wise) quite a bit

Yes but you will get a CEL but this should be resolved with a Novitec Tectronic CEL Delete Device. Seems like the least intrusive solution could be X pipe with valve controller?
    Anyone try this combo?

I’ve been thinking of this too. I believe others have reported check engine lights on the F8 with this over time but I’m not certain. It would be great if we could get more feedback from those with the controller.

Novitec X pipe (gpf delete) with Tectronic module here. Random CEL’s at first but no more. Sound is perfect for me.

The techtronic device causes CEL on '22+ cars. A few locals in Miami that I know have reported this as well.

    Update:

Ok just spoke to Ferrari and they said I'll get a CEL with the Forza Comp in my F8. It'd be great if the team could confirm, deny, counter argue...

I have the Forza controller only. I did get a CEL one time and cleared it. The second time the CEL cleared by itself. For the last 6 months or so I’ve used the valve opener sparingly and have had no issues on my 2021 F8s. The sound difference is minimal and not great maybe a bit deeper (and a small bit )sound at low RPMs. Nothing even close to my old 488s with valves pinned open. I’m wondering if I add the X pipe to this if it will help .
