I don't which publication that article came from Steve but something I notice in every article about Trump is repeated hyperbole like

"Trump broke the global political psyche"
"the most divisive president in living memory"
and so on

The fact of the matter is that the global left media, the public service, academia and urban elites hated Trump because he repudiated everything they believe in. Their psyches were broken, they pushed the "divisive" narrative relentlessly.

Ordinary Americans in my experience watched this with a growing sense of detachment, because the facts were that life got better under Trump's policies for all races and economic classes.

Clearly, since Biden came to power, as the puppet for the policies of the hard left of the Democrat party, life has got worse for all races and economic classes. Blaming Putin and Covid for the self-inflicted damage they have wrought might fool the Democrat faithful, but nobody else.

My experience of American politcs including many trips there is its NYC and Washington vs the other States or now the elite so called educated left vs the rest

 

Like the elite so called educated left they have little time or care for African Americans or there 1st Nation people same as here with our people .

 

When Dems have to parade out Obama to rally the black vote in Michigan tells you how worried they are,understandably so,tells you a lot.
