Just a matter of preference of course.

My GTS did not feel as tight as my B, but who would expect it to, it's an open car.

I saw "clean Wyoming title" so assumed minor sheet metal damage or something. Guess that accident effect thing is real.

If compression/leak down are solid, there’s no need to do valve guides. Headers are $3-6k in parts and maybe 6 hours of labor to R&R.

In no world are valve guides and headers $40k.

Tubi headers are 7k plus tax. $200 an hour labor plus tax is another $1500. Valves and other stuff that 30 year old cars needs and you are absolutely spending 30k. I stand by my statement, having had to do both headers and valves, if you buy a 355 you shld budget another 30 to 40k.

Anyone can get Tubi headers for under $5k if you make the effort. And IF needed, if valve guides are being done there would be no additional labor charge since you would already have to R&R the headers. Now, here is the 3 page bill from the 17k mile, 1995 spider that sold for $120k on 10.24.2022. Take a look at all the work that was done for $24k, including guides. First 2 pages are parts. Note labor rate of $175. Didn't need headers but if you insist, add $5k for headers, or less is not Tubi, and you're around $29k tops.

ANyway, the red euro 94 GTS only make $167k, yellow 95 B didn't get past $160k and the red 99 GTS only got to $168k.

Lets be honest who does headers on a f355 and doesn’t do the muffler, and the cats?

    Might delete later. lol

Asking a question I might not really want the answer to, but I'm working on an excel spreadsheet on which cars to keep in order to make room for some others. And I'm trying to decide if I mod my 355 to my taste, or leave it alone and potentially let it go. If any of you care to PM what you think the value of this car is:

1995 Blu Sera with tan with challenge grill GTB
Very early car with single piece under tray
    37,000Mi
Clean carfax. No indications of accident work. All original panels, etc.
Exterior near perfect. Fresh repaint. XPEL on front clip. Ceramic coat the whole car.
Interior very good, No stickies. Doing driver bolster repair to make it very nice driver quality.
    Records go back 6 years.
Engine rebuilt after burnt valve 5 years ago.
Capristro 3, ceramic coated Fabspeed headers, Fabspeed cats (cats have 300 miles on them)
Fresh engine out service 3 mos ago.
Addressed anything mechanically that could be found. Alternator rebuild, media blasted older raw aluminum pieces to make them gleam, etc.

Probably smart to keep it considering it took 6 months to get the car sorted and in this condition...

So weird, valves never go on these cars, all urban legends.

    Id value it at 160

Matt, If I didn't have a pending divorce, I might be in your DMs...lol! Fantastic spec. The REAL question is if you intend to keep the car for a long time (10+ years) is the only reason to green light extensive mods. Otherwise you have to find the "perfect" buyer for your car or take a hit on both overall value and whatever money you put into the mods (I'm not referring to easily reversible exhaust mods here). Otherwise just love the car for what it is or hold it for a couple of years until the economy gets back on track.

Sliding into people's DM's usually ends in divorce. :)

yeah, I'm not talking non-reversible stuff. I have a 348 challenge suede steering wheel to remove the airbag, and a set of challenge wheels I'm going to refinish to match. If thats actually the market, then it stays in the garage. Honestly, a 95 GTB is blue was the exact spec I wanted. Only thing better would have been a non-airbag car, which was never available here. Maybe I put more value in the 2.7 Motronic, OBD1, non-immobilizer features and I live in California where I'm hounded to sell this regularly. But I think other people who want to use these and knows them would agree. It took a lot to find the car, and a long time to make it "right".
