    Big picture question. What is the biggest design challenge for cars? I'm not a designer, but I know enough to realize design is about trade offs.

    In housing, for example, the biggest problem is garage doors. Particularly garage doors on small houses. The result looks like a baby pig with a big snout.

    Thoughts?

    The overall architecture or the 'bones' dictate the design. The world's best design can be a fail if the architecture isn't right, and that includes proportions, dimensions, etc. The Aztec is the poster child for a less than ideal architecture. AMC Pacer anyone?
