The iconic colour for a LP 400 S/500S/5000S. Well done Carl. Looking forward to the Boxer or Testarossa that must surely follow (if it hasn't already). The first proper automotive book I bought was about the Countach by Jeremy Coulter in 1985 and ALL the lush full page photos were of a singular white LP5000S as per cover. It was SO eighties. P.S the first automotive book I bought was a Great Marques book on Corvette written by Richard Nichols in late 1983, which actually was pretty accurate and very well researched - probably the best cheap retail automotive book I ever bought. I have that book too, it's a bargain! Yeah, that's Balboni at the helm. I just have to get Greg to cough up for the 3 911s I sold him then I can get the LP400 and be done with it.
I saw a 400S in Blu Tahiti with tobacco some years back and IMO the Countach really pops in a metalised finish, it looked to me at least, INCREDIBLE
Verde Pino is my colour of choice as per May 1980 Modern Motor issue. It’s an SA car now. I can't say I'm a huge fan of the Countach LP400/500/5000 S but in Verde Pino..........well, I'm in love
