So I have been looking for GTO like wheels for the 599, I just simply refuse to pay the going rate for authentic GTO wheels - just seems crazy to me, and stuff like BBS and HRE are even more expensive .... but I found a couple of very similar wheels - and came across this one as well... its Chinese - ebay etc... but thoughts? I'm highly skeptical... but wonder if anyone has used them? or how to know if it would work?

this is just a look thing for me... so I'm fine with the challenge wheels, but I just have to think there is a way to replicate that look!
    Thoughts?

This sort of issue is in the later VW bus world too. The main problem is the copies do not go through the rigorous certifications for stress and loads. So the may well fit but not be rated for correct weight. Possible issues at rotation high speeds or in crash too.

I certainly agree about the price but I would be very careful about cheap wheels. There is a reason these wheels are so expensive, they are super strong.

I get it... but I also look at Porsche wheel choices - and the prices are Way lower... I think $4K for the wheels makes sense... $9K for just the wheels and then having to do tires is just crazy... and I'm being cheap, because its not like I NEED them... just like the GTO look....

Just remember, you will be pumping 600 hp through those wheels, and using CCMs to clamp down on them, so....

With a 4000 lb car. And let's just skip the e=mc^2 issue that goes directly to stress on the wheels vs speeds.
