Classic, you **** on other people but anyone mentions the fact that you have zero financial acumen while you give other people financial advice (insults), and suddenly it’s not classy.

    Exhibit A, from September:

The lack of self awareness is really special.

Haha! So why are you whining and saying you’re being “attacked” if that’s how you like to deal with people?

Pure class. Good job! I see the winner attitude streaks through everything you do. No wonder you’re such a huge success.

Thanks for the advice, you are a paragon of financial advice to us all. Tell us again, how much does CNBC pay you to go on TV and tell people how to make and spend their money?

    Oh wait…

How are you still here telling people what to do like you’re some kind of expert in anything but turning wrenches. Maybe you should take a dose of a reality pill and stick to that. Have pride in yourself and your chosen profession instead of trying to be something you’re not.

Sorry that somehow hurts your feelings, it’s just my opinion ;)

Difference being..I never singled anybody in particular out. You volunteered for that by taking what I said personally. Truth hurts I guess when it hits you in the face with a hammer.

I cannot believe I'm arguing over a car..I'm just as stupid it appears..

On this last video we can see the « old » mules of the PS hidden under a Levante body. So glad to see them still being driven and tested!

An interesting point for me would be to know that do people approve front mid V12 Ferrari when...

    A) It has four doors
    B) It is tall

The reason why I'm asking this, is that in Purosangue's case, A) and B) are somewhat difficult to keep separated, given how little room there was left for rear doors when Ferrari tried to keep the car compact.

Of course they could have expanded the wheelbase significantly and kept the roofline low. But would that have made the car more desirable for larger amount of customers?

In a nod to the victorious 1984 Porsche team for the Paris–Dakar Rally, the company is calling its all-wheel-drive sports car the 911 Dakar.

They put 300,000 miles on it in dev under extreme off road conditions.

The Production Model is due to be released on November 16th.

<puts on purist hat> That's it, Porsche is dead. Rips off shirt, has a 'slammed' 911 tattoo, with an I hate EVs logo, goes outside and scream at clouds. Comes back inside and cries at other auto enthusiasts for their 'impurity.' Porsche is *dead.* </takes off purist hat>

"Purists" make sure you have a defibrillator near by if you watch this. I don't want to be responsible for death by conniption. Lambo is now also officially *dead.*

The Sterrato is expected to arrive before the end of 2022

    Cool!

I think the 911 is great considering Porsche’s history. I follow a guy on Instagram who made a very cool Dakar 911 tribute.

Mine did as well. Like you, no intel on movement. So, we play with other toys during the long waiting game. My SF90 spider and Portofino arrived a few months ago on the same truck. Despite being ordered many months apart. SF90 took 5 months from the day it left the factory, while the Portofino was under 4 weeks. As usual no details while en route. Meanwhile, I could track my Porsche’s on the water in real time during the same time periodo_O

Indeed! But I'm just curious why you would do that? I guess you've changed your mind about purity?

I mean Porsche literally is releasing a 911 version designed to do '3 wheel motion' (Compton low rider style) ..... shouldn't the 911 remain 'pure' ?

:) I guess since like you, and it doesn't bother me at all, I just try to stay....what...consistent? Yet folks seem to get mad at that (3 wheel motion) stance. :)

    (purists just 'shield your eyes)...

A "Hybrid" car is now the official fastest car (by a wide margin) on the Ring' time set yesterday.

Hope these pictures don't give any purist a heart attack. (Pictures courtesy of Porsche AG

No offense but you've been wrong about me being a "purist" from day one.

In fact, I'm working on my own 308 GTB "Singer" one-off right now. Just about to cut off the driver's rear fender so I can metal shape a subtle flare. I have no qualms about cutting up a Ferrari and I don't go to the ends of the earth searching for the "correct" yellow lock nuts. :) I'll be sending the motor out soon for a 3.5 conversion with ITB's. Once it's done I'll be tracking and driving it till the wheels fall off. Hell, I'll even drive it the rain!

Purists would have a heart attack if they saw my car.

Porsche has a long rally history. There is nothing non-purist about about doing the 911 Dakar. This thread has devolved into a ridiculous discussion on the essence of purity. If you have spec info, photos, dealer talk, or otherwise, great, post it. Too many people are bending themselves into pretzels to defend the PS. The PS will be the wildest, fastest SUV available. It looks great from some angles. But to think that it is anything other than an SUV essentially is delusional. Accept it for what it is. As far as purity, I remember when shields were SF or special road cars. Now you only notice them when they’re not there. Purity ship has long sailed….

This is a good analysis of what he likes and dislikes. What I enjoy is that he treats it without judgement about Ferrari’s ‘right’ to make such a car. He’s a car designer, ex-BMW, ex-Ferrari, ex-McLaren and his approach is more like “of course Ferrari can do this, but the real question is if they do this can they make it desirable and balance the design required of a new segment with identity from what Ferrari has been in the past”.
