In 1998 Michelotto converted 84503 to 1996 specs.

With each of the LMs and GTE slightly different to one another, has anyone ever listed all the chassis numbers in order with a period/current photo alongside for comparison online?

Would be a fascinating thing to see if anyone has any links to such?

all F40 GTE Evo II are exact same
    90001/82404/84503/94362
    85015 same as a F40LM
74045 body wise like GTE Evo II but with the wrong gearbox (Xtrac). It should have a LM gearbox.
88779 looks like GTE Evo II but mechanical not same.
F40LM all same spec but three chassis not converted yet.

Photos / Files / Build sheets I can not post.

One of the things I have noticed over the years is that on some front clams the leading edge of the clam in front of the wheel goes straight down, where as on others is tapers towards the wheel, is this am LM to GTE upgrade? also differences between the rear mirrors on the doors and their location? Other thing is different louvres used in the front clams?

These differences are on genuine cars not look alike converted road cars

The example in the centre appears to have road car fuel cap covers, not noticed that on an original LM before.

THE GTE front clam is so aggressive from that angle as well

For those who do not know, since January 2022 Cristiano Michelotto set up his own company in restoring and servicing the Ferrari competition cars (from the 308 Gruppo IV to the 488GT) and special road cars (288GTO, F40, F50 and Enzo). The name of the new company is Michelotto Automobili www.michelotto-automobili.com and is located in Monselice (PD) Italy, just 15 km south of Padova. I suggest to have a look at his Instagram page michelotto_automobili to see his projects, his shop and showroom.
After I visited him some weeks ago, I can confirm that the passion, devotion and exceptional quality Cristiano has offered for 20+ years to his customers will be continued.

P.S. This new company has nothing to do with Michelotto Engineering Spa in Padova.

There has been some major war and disagreements within the family, prior to setting up the new company.......

Thanks for sharing Tom, no affiliation but this might be a very good place to service an F40.

Buy a real GTE in addition to your F40 and have one for road and one for track (as some people do), you can't really drive a true GTE on the road anyway.
