Thank you!, I will definitely keep you posted! Lorenzo will probably know sooner than me if it worked Not sure when I'm going to be able to get my light reset
So to get back on this. I hope to try this if i dont chicken out this week. So i unbolted the passenger seat just to tilt it back to take pics of the wires. Here you can see the large plug which is for the seats movements. The other small blue/black plugs i beleve is for the airbag sensor. The blue is the car side. The black is the seat side. Coming from the seat (black plug) is red, brown, white. Coming from the car (blue plug) is yellow, black and brown w/redstripe... One question i have is why cant we just remove that sensor from the seat and just leave it under the new seat and it just lays there hooked up.?. im trying to finally put in my sport seats So I took my passenger seat out and decided to check the resistance on the airbag plug coming from the seat and I am not getting no reading. I know my multimeder is working because if I put the leads on a resistor that I was going to use I get a reading of 2.0. But on the plug coming from the seat I get no reading
I think Colorfull ( John ) tested the resistance of his seat with the seat out of the car and I don't believe he had anyone sitting on it. Maybe he'll come in.
Lorenzo is correct, if the seat is out of the car, sitting on it should not matter In any case, I took a measurement, on the connector on the seat, out of the car, noone on it, and I got 1.5 ohm Image Unavailable, Please Login
So the question is why is John getting a measurement of 1.5 and I'm getting nothing. His car is an 08 and mine is may 07 build. Not sure if that means anything. I know it's not my multimeter it works fine. When I put it on the resistor I was going to use I get a measurement of 2.0. So my meter is good..... The other thing is I installed that 2.0 resistor to the plug Going to the airbag. Once I turned the key on the airbag light came on and stayed on so Putting the resistor on it didn't work
Just a thought but I once unplugged an airbag and when plugged back in the airbag light stayed on. I was later told you have to disconnect the battery first to avoid this. I had the code cleared and the light stayed off.
