No fair! If you have two 328's then someone else in the world can't have one. And that just isn't right.

And within an hour or two of the 328 selling for 106K, a 1994 Porsche Turbo with 26K on the clock sold for $470K.
So the 328's sell for THREE HUNDRED thousand dollars LESS than a Porsche? Are Ferraris a bargain, or are Porsches
    just going for insane money?

That's no ordinary 911 Turbo. The 94 is a 1-year only 3.6L model that is rare as hen's teeth. That price was actually not insane at all. The 91-93 turbos were 3.4L and typically run 200k or so. But yes, Ferraris of the era are relative bargains.

They made 7,212 Ferrari 328s, total.
    They made about 300,000 911s by 1989.

Yet the 1989 911 brings around the same money as a 1989 328. The market has its head up its ass.

Thanks Dave for pointing out the rarity of the car. So a 270K premium for the extra 2 tenths litre. Makes sense to me.

I quit watching Porsches long ago, after buying and selling about ten of them in the eighties. BUT with Bat making it so easy, it's hard to not look at them and wonder what the appeal is. There's a LOT of really great cars that 470K can buy. A 328GTB and a 328GTS- with change left over to buy another car.

I used to own that car. It came with documentation that it was the one used in the movie. I owned it in the early 90's.

I agree! The car market is rife with insanity these days. There are a number of cars I'm interested in buying but I can't get any of them for a reasonable price right now. Maybe people will sober up when the next recession hits.

Did a blue low miles 328 GTB really sell at 320 K USD on BAT some days ago or was it only an April fool?

    Thank you

Thank you. I always tell this: for an average car, the price is made by the customer. For a top car, the owner makes the price: or the auction, as in this case.

    Ciao

I like the Oro Chiaro don't see it very often. Only other 328 I've seen in Oro Chiaro was one listed for sale awhile back at Smith Volvo in California.

It would be better if it had a black interior.

Do you remember the color of the interior and model year? I had an '87 oro chiaro with brown interior that I think wound up on the west coast.

Nice car and stunning color, but needed quite a bit of cosmetic work, especially the interior.

I think it did have a brown interior, I remember it had some minor rust in spots.
