Thanks my friend.. headers are going in now and been trying to reach sam lately for the latest update and the immobilizer delete
Headers are in not bad for 4 hrs the springs are the hardest part since I had to put it together inside and then put the collector on. The whole thing wouldn't fit all in one piece. Should be able to finish the upper bolts this week . Work this week is crazy. But very happy so far. When I fitted mine years ago now I found they can be accessed just by removing wheels and wheel arch covers. Use of plenty of penetrating fluid is a must! Expect a couple of snapped studs and plan accordingly. Replace all of them and new gaskets a must.
My buddy started making my rear deck lid. English wheel and pure skills is happening. Using the pro sport fiber glass one as the mold and shape.
Doing my transmission mount for a peice of mind. Along with some small cosmetic stuff. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
My word man, you do not know what the word 'enough' means!? Its unreal what you've taken on. Very interesting, informative, and inspiring thread.
Just a average dude that loves to work and improve the car. Believe me there is some catching up to do with randy and trev. But love everything. Love to learn more and more than anything love to pass any knowledge I can. Thanks for the support.
Got the valve covers done . Still waiting for the tranny mount. Looks so much better. And nice to go through everything Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
A difference I found between my Modena and Stradale is the heat shield cover for the gearbox cradle mount. The cover is held on with two bolts into rivnuts fitted to the cradle , an easy addition and certainly worth while. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
This heat protective cover for the gearbox bush was also fitted by the factory on some 360 Modena's too. It was included if you specified your new Modena with the optional 'Racing Style Exhaust'.
My Modena was specified with the CS type rear box ( racing style exhaust ) and didn't have the heat shield . There's always one that's different . I'm interested to see if the ECU's were upgraded at the same time , when you get to do your magic on them you can check .
That's quite a rare car ! Not many people bought one with the factory sports exhaust which is a real shame. Your absolutely right, spec is not identical across all 360s. I see this in the engine management too with well over 100 different versions and actually they even adapt the software to make configurations work sometimes! Yours may be an early car. I'm guessing you didn't have the heat protection on the side pipes ? Sent from my CPH2145 using Tapatalk
