    I permanently deleted my Facebook some months ago after it was hacked... It has resurrected itself once (with junk, not by me) and I permanently deleted it again. Today I get an email saying ‘welcome back to Facebook, but if it wasn’t you, let us know’... only problem is, to contact Facebook you have to log in / create an account? I do not want to go there.

    I’ve searched extensively for how to get rid of this scourge, but most of the sites are selling ‘blocker apps’ that sound as dodgy as Facebook itself!

    Can anyone advise, please?

    Ignore it, sounds like a phishing attempt to me

    I get similar all the time, check the email address, they are never from any official website

    Is there any?, just delete the email if it appears again. If you log on to the “assumed FB account” within 3 months of deleting it doesn’t that automatically restart the account?, I’m pretty sure from memory it’s in the small print , the best way to check if an account is still active in any way or form would be to get access to a friends account and look up your details while not disturbing the account directly within the 3 month delete window
    If that makes Any sense, I deleted mine this year too thank goodness [emoji849]

    Yes, that’s why I had it but trying to kill it seems near impossible... I have permanently deleted it TWICE now and still getting calls from people saying there’s stuff turning up on their feeds purporting to be from me...
