3809 GT. Initially with chassis number 3527 GT, as raced at the 1962 Nurburgring 1000 KM with number 49, then chassis number swapped with 3809 GT by the factory that was in production.

Has she been repainted or restored recently? Don't recall seeing that livery.

Yes. In the last 5 years or so, #3809 GT was restored by Ferrari.

There was an Aston DB3/S and the famous 'lost' blue Alfa 8C Figoni Short chassis (this was in fact the Alfa that failed to start) as well as the GTO pictured above.
Alain's son, Aidan was driving his father's 8C.
The cars left Queens Gate Mews and travelled to the service on Brompton Road.

I hope this will be well documented somewhere on the web. Although I saw him race a few times at Goodwood I was never able to meet him, sad to say…

To close this subject for now, I have never seen a single period photo of 0298MM, neither do any of the docs I have contain any useful info on this matter. This in itself makes me very sceptic about it all, as Pinin Farinas remarks are usually about design and special character of a car and Ferrari usually had photos made of most if not all special cars. I may change my mind as soon as someone comes up with any kind of evidence.

    Cheers, Kare

Yes, but has been restored to it's original configuration.
The nose treatment seen above came after an accident circa 1959/1960.

The paint treatment on that GT4 is something I haven’t seen before.
