Ferrari in Camera , the register

When I think of Ferrari in Camera I think of a blue covered book- either in cloth or leather.

I know they made the Ferrari edition with a red aluminium cover but I've never seen one in the metal.

Personally I went the blue version but if a red copy came up I would have considered that one too.

 

#373 (red edition) is for auction at Catawiki at the moment. Looks like a very good copy:

The auction inspired me just to take my copy out of the shelf and look through it. And once again, I thought: wow, what a fantastic book, indeed!

As well I thought: with so many treasures in one's collection, you are always in danger to forget some of these old treasures while focussing too much on newly published books.

 

Just keep interested in the new and forthcoming ones, boys...

#373 sold for 1,850 euros, including 9% buyers' premium.

 

They are not dropping much in price I see.
And that's for a red edition that personally would be my second choice over a blue.

Yes, thanks, I saw that. I’ve kind of had enough of general photograph books. There’s nothing wrong with them of course, but once you have a couple of dozen they seem to look pretty much the same. I’d rather spend the money….and reserve the precious shelf space …..for something with more narrative on a subject I’d like to know more about. There seems to be a proliferation of picture books but books with an important story to tell…like the long delayed and star-crossed Chinetti/N.A.R.T story….are less abundant.
