The winners are the lawyers. Surprisingly not many of them here on the forum.. maybe they like lambo?
Go to www.drugsRus.com, lawyers playground ........... oops, just realised my grandaughter is doing law at SydU
that will end in tears ,get her out of law now . 80 hour week get paid for 36hs in a large firm End up a legal aid lawyer End up hating men End up a leftie immigration lawyer Or just end up bitter
Just saying it as it is .....I would have had more dealings with Law firms on here than most and that is my 40 year plus observation of woman in law .
The world has moved on, misogyny is dying out and my grandaughter topped her class ..... plus she's going wherever the money is
So............... she'll be working for you then?????????????? getting you off speeding fines??????????
Yeah ....well they all say that ,the truth is a very small % make it and plenty of females drop out real quick . It is one career I would NOT encourage !
Yeah I'm in agreement here. Two paths await... The rich and successful become hollow and shallow with rich but selfish lives - the less successful become full blown angry lefties or work in a union/government/washed up inhouse counsel roles and think they're better than everybody else. Sh*t profession. I have more respect for hookers if I'm honest.
We have been conditioned to believe that law is a noble and highly paid profession. All parents are proud to say their child got into law. The reality is that there is a massive over supply of law graduates (of which roughly 60% are female btw) and those who do find a role will find it stressful and insecure. The 26 year old daughter of close friends got a position with the family court after 2 years of trying. She is now overworked and undersupported, having to make decisions about childrens' futures with no relevant life experience of her own. There are few happy outcomes for her. Meanwhile, less than 18% of STEM grads are female, yet that is where the demand and money is.
Correct ...I'd imagine the % of Grads in Veterinary science is high as in Medicine re females ? It shows in their dedication to learn and study . Over 40 years of being heavily involved in legal matters I have come across many under 30 year females in the law , working for large firms ,overworked underpaid and argumentative and often WRONG and fail to admit error ,were as the guys are easier to deal with and negotiate with .. The dream becomes a nightmare for the partner once the argumentative female law graduate goes lefty and woke !
