    Sooner or later it's going to happen, the dreaded breakdown. So when the rollback shows up, how do you tow a 246? Looks like even if they use a cloth tow cable, it's still going to scratch the paint. Where do they hook the tow cable? Help!!!

    Long ramps, low angle, front of trailer cranked as far up as possible while still attached to truck (yes, the tail of the truck lifts as well), winch mounted on bed of trailer (yes the straps’ undersides rub a little on the ramp/trailer junction).

    Loading onto a rollback, I have no idea.

    I’d think anyone with a Dino would have a low-bed trailer.

    Thx euro, I do not have a trailer, I drive it on select country roads, I don't trailer it anywhere. I was looking for an answer where you put the tow straps on the dino to tow it? You thread it through where? Underneath the apron, and connect to what?

    I always use a service here in Houston that does an amazing job, he has a tow truck with a flatbed, it goes on very quickly and very easily, he uses nylon soft straps. Slowly and then adjust the trailer for the clearance. It literally takes less than five minutes to go on or come off

    Keep 2 x 6s handy. You can set them up like a "pre-ramp" before the flatbed. Put a long one on top with two and one under in succession.

    Thx. The nylon soft straps, where does he connect those, to the control arms? That's what I'm trying to understand, where the flatbed tow service would run the straps and connect to car without damaging paint

    Ok, a tow hook, makes sense. Wonder where you'd have a mechanic install on the car?

    Nylon tow strap (Amazon) and possibly a bit of lumber depending on the flatbed.

    As I think about it, I think I put the hooks in the lower control arms on each side. They have a hole in them ideal for the hooks and they are about the lowest part of the suspension so the straps are not touching the paint.

    Awesome, thx for the update. I'd buy the tow hook from dino parts if I knew where to locate it.

    My Dino is in the body shop right now, but I visited last week and took my tow hook that I bought from DinoParts.de, as per the link above.

    Having carried it around for years, without ever trying to or needing to fit it, I was very surprised to find there is nowhere on the car, front or back where it would fit.

    So don't buy one. Sorry for the poor direction.

    Much appreciated the response. Ashame, because a tow hook could have been a great answer for towing the car.

    I have thought about designing something for a while now that can be used to tow a Dino and this thread has re-kindled that project. Luckily with winter having fallen on Canada I have the luxury of both a Dino on a 4 post lift and a full prototype shop at my disposal. Over the holidays I'll tinker around a little and see what is possible. If I can come up with something good, I'll start a new thread and maybe even make a run for sale to help the community.
