Interesting that a lot are selling their GTS…though being in the Uk, I’m sure it’s not as usable as in some areas. Maybe I should hold off selling my SF until I drive the GTS in a couple of weeks.

I think all the GTS owners will highly regret the decision to sell. I love mine as it checks all the boxes. It’s an amazing grand touring car, enough luggage space for 10 days, is fully capable on track, and has a calm/demon personality depending on your input. Chris Harris called it one of the best Maranello has ever made and I agree. Maybe I’m getting old but homogenous styling and digital screens have no appeal for me.

First we had the SF90, then the 296, the the FUV, now we have an FEV coming. Unless it comes with the Magic Maranello battery pack hand made by little old Italian women which weighs less than 150lbs and puts out serious power for days it won’t be any faster or better (maybe in looks if Ferrari is lucky)than the more easily acquired and cheaper EVs , and still won’t have Apple CarPlay as standard

OMG! Standard? Or did they add 6 Grand to the price to compensate?
Maybe one day I’ll be able to get in and out of my Ferrari without pressing the key fob

    So true.
I have owned my SF for 2 years but traded it in when the GTS arrived and have regretted that one bit. Yes, the SF might have a slightly better noise. But the GTS offers sooooo much more with the roof down or that tiny rear window down.
Just for the sake of a slightly better exhaust note one argues the SF is better? Any aftermarket exhaust can fix that.
To your note, I get that you keep your SF as it's a TM and thus personal car.
The Pista Spider should sufficiently scratch the roof down itch.

Found out that my 812C is coming Q3 next year, so that will be a very intersting comparrison. Having owned all 3 iterations of this generation's V12.

IMO, the lower pitched 812GTS exhaust note superbly compensates for the lack of elegance found in the 812 design compared to its such timeless predecessor, the F12 Berlinetta. With the addition of switch-tronic (valve control) there is more sound than anyone could ever wish for. Go buy an Aventador if that’s still not enough. The 812GTS design and roof line are by all means not perfect. However, they definitely managed to smoothly remove some of that excessive aggressiveness of its coupé counterpart. It will be very interesting to see if the new F167 will embody the big, heavy, berlinetta platform which we’re used to, or if it will be slimed down to the size of a tame Roma (not hoping for the latter). + If they’ll decide to launch a spider/convertible version as with the 812GTS. One thing is certain: No analog RPM Dial. Instead, shi**y haptic panels and too many screens... The 812GTS (best of all worlds) will remain a very special car as Chris Harris keeps on saying so rightly...

    Amen to that.
Previous GTS owners will regret selling their car in the very, very near future.
Regardless of the design of the F167.

    Because it is delightfully analog.
In terms of interior, sound, driveability and thus whole experience.
The new haptic digital screens and thus experience doesn't suit a more 'classical' car like the GTS.

Anything digital has the tendency not to age very well.
However analog seems to be the opposite.
When looking at the other high end bespoke market; aka haute horlogerie.
The market is willing to pay top, top dollar for either heritage, bespoke or vintage.
I think we can see the same for a brand like Ferrari.
We still value and appreciate the 'classics' that harken back to an analog time.

The analog controls of a GTS will still feel great and look great in 10-20-30 years. Curent digital screens won't.
True luxury will always be in bespoke, handmade, timeless design.

Day 355, can we expect the horrible haptic steering wheel and video game display in the F167? I’m sure it’s almost a certainty.
And can you comment on design? Is it a derivative including Roma/purosangue design cues?

Don't expect miracles from the interior, and looking at the PS interior gives you direction.
I have already given a lot of teasing on the design, we are on a refined "modern classic", like the other two, but with its own codes, its own personality.

    Disagree.
The F12 seems dated and conservative now that the more aggressive 812 design is with us.
Yes the F12 is still very pretty no question. I just prefer more aggressive look.
    To each their own.
Moving forward it seems we will be going back to a more “elegant” design for 167 which will be positive news for those that prefer the F12.
Analog interior will be gone though it seems.
Also regarding power.. if the 812 rear easily steps out in third gear at 60mph then will we covet the additional power the 167 will certainly offer?

    Day355, f’kin love you man!

The Mrs subtle reminder to me last week that I owe her a trip to Firenze next year, so I think it might just be via Maranello to ask for a 167.
