The pet rock also sold out for years. The Kardashians has been a TV hit for years. Crystal meth is really popular too
Just because someone thinks it is stupid to essentially transform Camaro or Corvette from a model of Chevrolet to an entire brand a la Pontiac/Oldsmobile does NOT make that person a Luddite clinging to the past and hating progress. I think turning a Model designation into a separate brand is silly and NOT progress. In fact, that seems clinging to the past to me. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
You make a good point. It is losing the ethos of the original marker. My posts, though, are admittedly tongue-in-cheek. In all seriousness, three things are just facts at this point. 1) Electrification will go forward with no suffering in performance. 2) SUVs are here to stay, and each iteration will get faster. 3) Ferrari desperately needs to win Formula 1. I know folks have difficulty accepting these three things. The why is what I'm fascinated by. Cheers
Yesterday, Jamie Corstorphine, McLaren's director of product strategy, said an SUV was in the early exploration phase
. yeah, just like Ferrari following Lamborghini, who followed Porsche, who followed ...... >>> just whole bunch of dollar chasing monkeys. .
I have difficulty accepting point 1, unless no loss of performance includes being ok with extra weight, poorer cornering and ride dynamics, less brake feel and performance (weight induced) and not being able to use the performance to any great extent for any great length of time due to range anxiety. And that’s without going into engine character or noise. None of these issues have any medium term hope of being resolved and it’s unclear if the technology will ever achieve it. Yes people might be forced into forgetting the alternative and get used to what they are offered, but performance will certainly suffer, unless you only count straight line acceleration. They might look nice though.
Precisely! Given the financial risks there are very few innovators left. Everyone goes for the low hanging fruit.
Harry is a good dude, EVO magazine is the gold standard, and he was the founder. But even Harry can't explain why a 4 seater car with zero off road abilities is 1 foot taller than it needs to be? It's not for head room. Clearly not for its dynamic abilities.. So why ? We live in such a messed up clown world, and now the clowns control Ferrari... PS... Look at the wheel arches. What are they for again? Aerodynamics? hahaha
That thing is going to be a service nightmare. That power train looks like it will have to be dropped for service work. Stellantis and it's electronics not exactly good. Bad feeling about this thing all around.
Specced mine this past weekend … Grigio Medio/Bordeaux, although that is likely to change twenty times between now and when my slot comes up. Needs wheel spacers.
Same. On the fence on design pack. 100k in US. Significant upgrades but…. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You are too harsh in your speech. Going this way, someone would say why track focused car like 488 Pista have spider version? Keep relax, some like to drive without roof and some like to drive sitting higher in SUV Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yup! Same to me - looks great! I think the videographer knew what he was doing and did not use an ultra ultra wide lens. This way, it is more true to life!
