    Happy to report that it is on the rotisserie and most importantly, didn’t fall off of it! No creaks, no welds popped. So I think it’s built solid!:D I ran seam sealer along the joints and now I’m ready for primer. I’ll shoot that today.

    The donor convertible top mechanism shows up today too. More on that once I start playing with fitting it up. After the epoxy primer cures I’ll weld on the exterior body panels. Hopefully by the middle of next week I have a complete car body staring at me.

    HA! Right! It’s just the 1/18th scale model I originally scanned all along just photoshopped to scale!:p:p:p

    Thanks, James. Yeah, I know about that one and plan on heading down to see it. Not 100% correct older resto, but it’s a 507 so no complaints from me!:p

    More updates soon. My 1968 Jaguar XKE had a switch that needed replacement and the next thing you know I’m rewiring the whole car!o_O

    Happy to report the Jag rewiring is done! I fabricated a dolly for the 507 and both went outside for a good shop cleaning. Now it’s time to make some more progress on it! More to come…

    That’s awesome! Driver’s side door latches, locks, and opens. Window goes up and down too! More next week as I get the other door done and get it in 2K primer!

    Thank you! The motor is here too. This will get installed as-is with the single 4bbl carburetor for now. Once I get it installed and things are running, I’ll “BMWize” it which will make it appear like the original factory V8. Of course the distributor on my engine is at the one o’clock position instead of the original’s eleven o’clock. But after I’m done with the trim out it’ll be a nice homage to the original design.

    Radiator mock up is sent to the shop building the radiator too. Gauges show up today! But I need the next few months to finish up the small details on the bodywork and such. Then it’s onto the mechanicals!

    Good idea selling those other "distractions" in the shop........now you can FOCUS! baby, FOCUS! :p

    (I only post this because of my own need to FOCUS baby, etc..........) :cool:
