Good day, I am unsure of this, as the RM Auction states: So... it would depend if the site has posted the hammer price or the all in price... Usually I think it is the hammer price, but I could certainly be mistaken. Cheers, Sam
Steve,FYI, 33713 is RHD 512BB in Australia. 1980. nardi wheel. Mine is 23583 RHD Aus delivered car, but Nathan mistakenly lists it LHD.

I love BB's, and it is my dream car these days. They are higher than they were pre-pandemic, but I was thinking, if this run-up (money printing) the last 10+ years, and the pandemic hyper-run-up (insane money printing) of everything has not pushed the market on BB's higher than what will? BB's are for real car guys, not for posers. That's the bottom line. Maybe the only way for them to move higher is to see some prominent rappers or Kardashian types coveting them?
Correction - Bonhams doesn't include the tax on their premium. RM includes both the premium and any applicable tax on that premium.
The thing is you actually have to know how to operate a "machine" and be able to drive by feel to really run and enjoy a boxer. That pretty much excludes rappers Kardasians and 99% of collectors. The Boxer may appeal to collectors as static art though. "BB's are for real car guys, not for posers. That's the bottom line." Trrue and because values are still limited its pretty much the only 12 cyl classic ferrari that can be enjoyed in anger on the road by the meerly well off.
Ironic considering Ferrari confirmed the Brigitte Bardot naming connection. At least the BB aged a whole lot better than Ms. B a r d o t.
yes the boxer can use some marketing Brigit Bardot is a great place to start I’m always reminded that a 599 stick sold for 750k years ago. Some collector was checking a list Rare Stick Front engine V12 the fact that a 599 is really not a great car to drive or look at and crap unhappy stick setup was lost on the collector who bought it. boxers need to get on the collector box check list.
I agree but considering the 512TR/M's broke above the BB I'd say the generational shift is established. I'd take a 365BB over a 512M but I understand the appeal of the latter - modern, in your face. Cool sometimes, but ... Ultimately, unless one's planning on selling what other people think is totally irrelevant. It's between you and the car. The less others' opinion enters the equation the better.
Lets not forget that the whole Tr series was established to make an easier to drive and live with Boxer. It outsold the boxer in period handily, not least because it was nto grey market in USA. The fact is the boxer probably fits into the same type of extreme category as say the F40, while a Tr is far more a Gt car, longer ac works stylistically interesting if not art and harmonious. Trs are to me like Dinos, easer to live with and drive, hence their appeal. I can tell you that on a backroad last summer, my friend who has no trouble keeping pace in his boxer, could not do so in his Tr, that car is simply longer heavier more cumbersome in the twisties, different animals. There's a reason Ts sold so well back when and why that sifter formula morphed further into the 550. If youre a driver the boxer is the way to go. Two caveats though, a boxer really should be running more modern rubber, and BBis certainly run out of breath too soon. I see canepa has reimagined the 959, more accurately they have reengineered out the faults and kept the basic car intact. That imo is the direction boxers need to go, alas the math is not currently there.
Still, the BBs sell for a lot more than testarossa's (at least in Europe) - except maybe for the 512M, which relies on its rarity to get more money... As an amateur Ferrarista who browses the forum casually, I'm always amused that typically the undervalued car is always the one that is owned - so for me, the most undervalued should then be the 488 (what - the fact that the underpowered 458 could even compete with the 488 is a pure outrage) and the 550 (what - the manual front engined V12, commissioned by the great among the greatest LdM, struggles to be more valued than a soul-less, clinical F12...)
They don't know. However, they don't have to. Last week I did a music video shoot with a rapper for his new song. I was driving my BBi while they were filming with a drone. I will post the video when it's ready.
