FWIW (and I'm definitely no expert) I think the LHDs are instant classics and damn tempted to get on the list with my AD- but don't "need" another GMT- what's the wearing experience? Is it cool or awkward?
Didn't even notice the "LHD" part. I've worn my watches on my right wrist since I can remember, so that I wouldn't have the crown digging into my hand when my wrist was bent. I'm also lefthanded in a lot of things, and it just feels more natural. I'd wear that one on my left, too.
Yep- Same here- have a mark on my left lower wrist from all my watches since I wear them loose on left - The "LHD" not only seems attractive to me from a comfort standpoint but also the 'unique" aspect- and obviously I love the green since i missed the Hulk and Kermit opportunities and can't afford a 50th Anniv GMT-
Certainly different. Imo its the color is what makes it standout, being a lefty secondary, its very comfortable just like all the steel Rolexes. I would say, it might take a day or two of wearing to get used to the orientation. Its a conversation piece for sure.
Thank you - I plan to swing by my AD on Saturday just to say hi and will inquire as to availability - Cheers
Have 3 of them now; an original Turtle, this one, and an orange one. It’s all @cwilson13 ’s fault. (they are great beach watches) . Image Unavailable, Please Login
I’m a big fan of deployant buckles. I don’t understand why more fine watches don’t come with them. In fact at today’s prices they should come with a tyne buckle and a deployant.
I am looking at the JLC Polaris Chrono in black, this would be my first JLC. collection of AP,PP,VC, Rolex,Panerai, GS, etc How do you like the quality / features of the JLC? thanks vasilios
Yes. White gold and Titanium. It’s a bit much but these have come way down in price and I couldn’t pass it up.
I can only speak to my experience with a Reverso, which has been outstanding in all respects for about 20 years. I wouldn’t mind having another but there are too many choices to duplicate anything. My only negative experience was not the watch’s fault: I sent it to the JLC service center for a minor problem and they managed to “lose” it for a couple of weeks. “Sir, are you sure you sent it to us?”
Very nice pickup, if you have to park some cash anywhere, RM is a good a place as any right now. Not suggesting that's why you bought it, just saying.
