    In the video Matthieu Lamoure, MD of Artcurial, states that this 250 LM didn't suffer the throes of racing, was entered at the 1966 24 Hours of Daytona as a back up car and that it never raced. However, it was car number 32, and completed 428 laps at the 1966 24 Hours of Daytona before retiring due to the Generator.

    NO.
    250 LM #5901 did NOT race at Daytona 1966. Number 32 was a 275 P Spider (no roof) with Follmer-Wester.
    250 LM #5901 was just a back up car. Tons of websites have it all wrong. This includes also Janos Wimpffen's Time and Two Seats. Copy and paste......
    Always, always go by photos only.

    I think I asked this but don't remember the answer..back in 2008 or so at a FCA event I was told there was a 250LM in Illinois (then).

    Anyone knows if true and which one? The closest one I can think of is the Indianapolis Museum car.

    That maybe why. I had loaded a couple 250GTO pics in the post by accident that I was removing, so that could explain things. Glad you like the photos. The car was fresh off a restoration. It’s beautiful.
