Thoughts? Well, I had a look at the Emira just now: https://www.lotuscars.com/en-AU/emira I am of the opinion that the Lotus website is appalling. Unless I've missed something, I cannot determine: - the weight - what the suspension components are constructed from (A pic would be nice) - any images of the engine - the turning circle and the turns lock to lock - Whether you can delete the infotainment **** I then had a look at the Ferrari website, specifically the 296 and that doesn't give you any of the above either. However there's lot of 'lifestyle" images to make up for it..........................
If you think the website is bad, wait until you hear about the communication with people whom have paid a deposit and were supposed to get their car in July... Absolutely woeful. Non-existent. Weight is around 1450kg, and there is plenty of stuff online to answer your other questions, particularly Harry's Garage on Youtube. But yeah, customer service is most definitely not Lotus' strong-point. Having said that I'm quite sure the car itself will be fantastic.
I couldn't get past the cookies; I don't like cookies. Currently, I have a Series 2 Elan that I'm restoring (well, building up around a VIN plate)
I always reject all cookies except the ones that are essential to the website working. By FAR the worst in this regard is the F1 website. You have to scroll through literally dozens of their “partners” and deselect them to avoid the BS. Usually I just give up and decide I don’t care enough to continue on the site.
My SO owns an immaculate 2009 Elise SC- it is her "dead guys car" (a la Jerry Seinfeld) - Fantastic, pure, simple exotic. She now wants an Esprit- She fell in love with them in "Basic Instinct" I/we love the looks of the Emira and the fact it is ICE and manual and have a great Lotus dealer in CO but would rather focus on the Esprit than jump through all the hoops to order an Emira. Cheers
When I was poor I had a Elfin Mono F2 with a Lotus twin-cam 165bhp When I was rich I had a Brabham BT21C FB with a Lotus twin-cam 215bhp
When I was poor I was the town drunk. When I was rich I had a well stocked bar. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
