The colors of the Amalgam model aren’t spot on, but I think only I would notice.

    They did an amazing job.

As far as I can tell the books aren’t numbered. So who knows?

That is disappointing! I think numbering a limited edition book is a must. Just writing „this is one of XXX books“, but not which one, makes that claim impossible to verify. I really don‘t like that.

Meanwhile, I think that my LM Edition has finally been shipped. At least I got a notification that a parcel will be delivered by TNT tomorrow from „Das Produktionsbüro Frank Nagel“ and that it contains a book with reference „Horton“ and weighs 7 Kg.

Maybe I've overlooked it? Perhaps somebody can confirm that they also haven't found a booknumber.

The shipping throug TNT from Frank Nagel is exactly the same as mu IMSA book.

I received notification from TNT Express that my LM edition has been shipped from a Germany, and is scheduled to arrive Stateside by the end of this week. I ordered through Horton’s and the customer reference section on the invoice says “Horton.”

According to TNT Express, my LM Edition will arrive tonight at 6 pm at the latest. I‘m a bit reluctant to fully trust that claim, as it‘s already 6:39 pm by now and the shipping status is still „collecting“. Sigh…

I received my book a few hours ago, and a day early(!). It was packed extremely well—a box within a box and layers of bubble wrap and packing material. The publisher must have leveled-up the packaging for the trip across the pond.

Right out of the slipcase, this EB110 book is spectacular. Palawan’s Aston V8 book was priced similarly a couple years ago, and unquestionably, the Aston tome takes top marks in terms of material quality and production values. Yet, in terms of size and presentation, the 110% production, practically the final word on the EB110, manages to feel every bit as special. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Great news, thanks for the update! While you received your book early, I‘m still waiting for mine (it should have arrived on Wednesday). It‘s been (re-)announced for delivery today, so let‘s see. As we say in Germany „hope dies last“. ;)

Nevertheless very good to read your very positive review. I have the Palawan Aston Martin V8 book too, so if you say the EB110 book is just as special, then It must be good!

I would hope so, but they don't seem to be very responsive.

I emailed them last week to let them know my book was damaged and have had no response whatsoever....

    I will try again today.

According to the latest shipping status, my book is now in transit and arrived in Wiesbaden, about 400 km north of my home. However, as I casually looked out of the front door, I was surprised to find it had already arrived. Well packed, with a box within a box and further protection.

    Hi Lars,

splendid, there it is - at last!

And thank you for sharing the pictures of how it looked like when it arrived. The packaging looks make-shift and improvised, not like the bullet-proof packing as by Sportfahrer Zentrale or Palawan. But it seems to protect the book nevertheless, which is the main thing.

First impressions: there are some slight imperfections in the blue linen part of the cover, including a small scratch on the back. Nothing too serious, but also not 100% perfect. I agree with the other reviews posted earlier here that, considering the price of the book, the paper quality and the slipcase could/should have been a bit better. Both are not bad, but not in the same league as Palawan books. And for a Palawan price, expectations are high of course. I‘d say, where a Palawan book gets 10 out of 10 points for quality of paper, binding and slipcase, I‘d give 8,5 points to the EB110 book. So still very good, but not perfect.

As for the content, I have quickly browsed through the first 50 or so pages and I like what I see. A nice layout, several excellent new photos and interesting old photos. Stories on the people that were involved with the EB110 project and certainly much more interesting content to follow in the many other pages.

All in all, I‘m happy to have this book in my collection. Part of the high price can be justified by the very low limitation of just 3x110 books and it will surely stay THE book on the EB110 forever. What I really miss though, is a page with a limitation number. And it would have been nice to have a page with signatures of at least the authors, or even better, some of the important people in the history of the EB110. Still, everything considered, I would definitely buy this book again. Recommended.

Glad you got the book Lars. That was not how my book was shipped. So I guess they tried to improve on the first batch.
