    That would be a good guess as I had my car serviced not to long ago so maybe the mechanic dropped it an it landet at the motor mount

    Not the tip (outlet), rather, looks identical to the protective cover for the other end (inlet) of a Bosch CIS injector.

    Yes. If it is what I think it is then the cap is discarded prior to installation of the fuel injector in the car (they would need to be removed to attach the fuel line to the injector). I suspect some folks may keep them to cap off the old injectors if they're planning on holding on to them for cleaning. I'm pretty sure I have some of these original Bosch fuel injector caps lying around. I'll try and snap a photo tonight when I'm done with work.

    I think we can safely say that it is not from the car. That question was answered quickly.

    Now the discussion is just satisfying the curiosity of identifying what it is from.

    Thank you for the pics so now I know it is not from the Car just surprised it stayed on the motor mount for 1500 km of driving but it was a bit wedged in
