    Yes , when I had the 488 and the same on my Roma and 812 GTS, the electric steering is super light. There is little to no feeling of the road. On the F8 the steering has some sort of variable weighting. You can feel connected to the road giving you more accurate feeling of how the car is planted. The steering goes harder and lighter depending on speed and driving style. If you get a chance to drive an F8 take it. The driving experience is so much better than 488 plus it has the Pista spec engine.
