A very special Alfa Romeo is coming in 2023. Image Unavailable, Please Login Rumors: - Will be show on March 2023. - Tipo 33 Stradale tribute. - Under 100 Units Worldwide. - Above €1M.
I did hear about this before. I hope it looks good. I also suspect this will not be the last ICE Alfa Romeo sportscar. The Euro Union and the USA will back track on the unobtainable mandates allowing Alfa/Maserati to continue Hybrid Ice production well after 2028. The CEO of the group as much as hinted at that several months ago even before Toyota's CEO said the same thing.
I don't think so, it seems to me that the Carbon tube of the MC20 is entirely new but of course I'm not 100% sure.
MC20 tub is new. It’s also heavy for a carbon chassis car because it had to be strengthened for weight of future EV versions. There will be 33 tributo cars total, owners selected from interested buyers by Alfa committee, one likely to stay in museum. Doesn’t mean it will be like an MC20, even though engine also used. I have one of the new Quad GTAs, and it is several leagues above a ‘standard’ Quadrifoglio, of which I owned 2 before GTA. Ride, handling, engine response, feeling of quality much more noticeable than I expected, a special car. You would think the 33 will have all that and a lot more, and hopefully can remove some of the “EV” weight. Apparently they were originally going to have half of the new cars electric and half petrol, but everyone wanted the petrol one!
Yes I heard that too a few months ago. But I was given to understand that there will be more than 33 cars. How recent is your information? My friend seemed pretty confident about the numbers.
Quite recent, but entirely possible they have increased numbers. The price was originally estimated at €1m, but demand stretched that, so numbers might have gone up too! You’ll know that NDAs have been signed and car has been seen by prospective buyers….
Okay, thanks for responding. I am very curious about this model, I will contact my friend to see if he knows more.
They had the museums same T33 prototype Stradale on display in the USA back in 2015 at 2 auto shows. Here it is at the Chicago Autoshow in 2015. Image Unavailable, Please Login
in the flesh that car is tiny, lotus elise tiny, with a 10K rpm 2.0 V8. Theres a reason it was the best and most expensive car in the 60s. hardest to keep running on song to. Imagine a modern redo, same size shape etc , cf body and tub with one of those (radical cars) 2.6 V8s.
I hear you. I love the older styles but I would do a tribute or restomod. Give me modern handling, electrical, etc. with the classic looks. THAT would be a ton of fun.

will be e very good looking supercar, based on the excellent Maserati MC20, 3.0V6TT, a sort of Ferrari Icona series, inspired by Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale of the sixties Ciao
