Some pics after the repairs. To answer the question above, I wasn’t really cross shopping anything else. Like the other poster this was my high school/college dream car and is now a nice addition to my GT4 and M3. The looks of this car are timeless to me and the newer stuff doesn’t really do anything for me.

It seems are large segment of 360 drivers have the means for most offerings but choose the 360 for looks nostalgia analog Exp…

I’d love a 458 or f430… but I would not replace my 360 w either.. they cannot replace this experience for me.

Transmission shift issues, the diff whines above 40, check engine light for an evap code, two holes in the roof, heat works when it wants, only came with one key, missing the tow rod. I had two new keys made, those did not work right so I had to send them back, they came back but the car is at the shop so I do not know if they are fixed or not. The car and I definitely do not gel. Just one thing after another in just a month. Pretty discouraging but it will pass.
I did my matching plates for the cars so now I am waiting for spring to put them on.

Agreed, I bought my gated (argento) 360 3 years ago. I didn't cross shop anything, the 360 was the car I wanted since right after high-school when it came out. I can buy any car I want, but I got a 360. Will probably add 1 or 2 more, but won't replace or sell the 360.

you are just sorting out a collection of issues passed on by prior owners…. Once you get it sorted life will be good.

Thank you for the offer. I would not feel right pulling it out of the service shop or selling it as is. Best of luck in your search though.

That’s one of the few aftermarket radios I’ve seen that looks like it’s supposed to be there

Bought my car in August of 2021. 2004 F1 coupe. Cross shopped F430, 575M, Gallardo, Aston DBS auto, V12 Vantage S sportshift. F430 was THE CAR when I was a teenager so I really wanted one, but was surprised how much I liked the 360. This car with great coloring appeared. Bought it and drove 550 miles home. Have put ~4200 miles on it since, besides slow down light sensors no unscheduled repairs. Did all the belts myself last winter, getting through the annual this year. Been fantastic to drive, being last F1 update it shifts great. As fast or faster than my 2018 392 charger did.
Wife loves the way it looks, was at a loss for words when I showed up at home with it (and she was already aware I was picking it up)

The 360 Spider was always my dream car, it's my 16th car, had a few Porsches, Corvettes, fun Japanese cars. The 360 was always the goal, finally got enough to get a rough gated Spider.

It's been in the shop for 8 months and about $40k worth of parts and labor and I still haven't put 50 miles on it. Needed new everything, steering column, was told it had the timing belt done but apparently it was 10 years old, everything leaked, the shop is slow and parts are slow to ship.

Makes owning a Porsche seem cheap! But it will be worth it.. soon.

I have had the same, several 911's and a few 930's, the Vette's, an NSX, and still have an Esprit. The only one that has been a bigger headache was the Esprit. Since getting it fully sorted it has been a wonderful car. The 348 is a pleasure to drive as well. I hope my 360, once sorted will give the next owner the same enjoyment the Esprit does. They certainly can be trying.

It's surprising to me that so many 360s have changed hands recently. I had a 348 and 355, both spiders a few years ago. I'm in the market for a 360 Modena right now. I'll be looking mostly for something that needs a little work, mechanical issues, due for service, etc. I DIYed everything on my previous f cars.
It seems that most of your cars are above that level.

Would any of you be willing to share the price you paid, F1 or gated, hardtop vs spider, dealer or private sale? It might help those of us in the market.

Thanks in advance for any replies
