European Christmases are the best. I recently imported a 96 6MT GTS (an import it and drive it till I sell it car) that I took out on the back-roads this morning. f355s are just the best. That GTB is another Tark car. He always has good pics, so I'm sure it'll be great for its new owner.
How many points you give for this 99 GTS Manual kit FHP 15500 kms (9700 miles) all historic 2 owners, Capristo and Tubi ( cata and manifold), all cheeked ? A final year GTS manual with carbon seats and with less than 10k miles in completely original condition would probably set a record on Bring a Trailer.
Possibly. It is certainly highly desirable to aficionados, but I'm guessing this is the type of car that changes hands privately. BaT crowd isn't always the best informed, just the best bankrolled
Well presented Tarek. Timing probably hurt this example. Just for my own edification (I try not to ask knowledge questions in an auction) how much would it cost you to correct all the imperfections you noted on the car to an "excellent driver" standard? There was speculation in the BaT thread, and I'm sure you have better access to a wider network of F355 shops than most.
Thanks, i think timing was fine, and i didn't want it to go over $150K anyways, i wanted who ever bought it to get a good deal. I think around $15,000 would bring up to a very good drivers example. It went to a perfect buyer who is familiar with Ferraris and older cars so he knows how to get things taken care of and not get hammered on mechanic prices.
This one was very surprising to me, not sure how it didn't do well. Mike, you still have it or did you sell it already?
Hi Tarek, my 355 GTS is still available happy to chat with anyone who’s interested I now have documentation to show that the damage was very minimal. Thanks !! Mike 973-610-7111 PS- Happy Holidays!! And a fantastic 2023 for all of us
Just posted on eBay. I remember this car was discussed years ago here. 150k BIN https://www.ebay.com/itm/234838031151?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=uK74FBtTSbu&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=zIGriBDLT3O&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
I've been tracking that on other sale boards. I'm also curious about input from the guys that know these cars by serial #s. It looks decent. Clearly modified (I do like the modified "Daytona" styled seats. The wheels need to go. But if anyone has any history on this I'm curious.
The engine work is really interesting. Would love to know more -- who did the work, were there before and after dynos, etc? Does this thing make more power than a fully dialed-in stock 355 engine? I assume the trumpets and TB's were done to enable see-through plenums, but maybe they make more power too.
I want to wish all my 355 brothers A VERY HAPPY, HEALTHY INCREDIBLE NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MAY ALL OF OUR DREAMS BE REALIZED FOR 2023 ALL THE BEST Mike
That intake is insane. I don't know if it is more efficient than oem but it is certainly more gorgeous
I’ve only found this so far. I know there more info out there however. I’ll keep looking… https://ferrari355registry.com/registry/952
That bring a trailer challenge evo is basically the same thing Jeff Segal started with to build his “Modificata”. Badass cars…
Watching the market, a Challenge car would be fun to be on the track or if I had another choice, a 1999 GTS would be the way to go. Book ends 1995/1999. Mike, is yours still available? Oh and Happy 355 New Year to all! Cheers! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
A Challenge car would be hilarious as a street car. Put a non-challenge exhaust on, unbolt the roll cage (is it bolted in or welded?) and maybe raise the suspension an inch and you've got a fantastic fun-run machine.
Hi Rob, Yes Happy New Year to all !! Yes my 1999 355 GTS Stick is still AVAILABLE and i now have documentation to show that the Carfax damage was very minor. I’m open to chatting with you or anyone else and discussing serious offers. Mike
