"Extremism"? What's "extreme" is you acting like this thread has been some complimentary walk in the park regarding Hamilton, but me using "bum" really bothers you.... So, when you offer your opinion, it's "freedom of speech". When I offer my opinion, it's "quite juvenile really" Got it. And that's why I visit this thread once or twice a month. Be back in February to see if anyone came up with a new angle on all of Hamilton's shortcomings.
Why are you having a hard time with this? He never admitted any guilt at all. He said he went for the pass even though he knew Lewis would close the door. He had the RIGHT to go for the pass, and Lewis had an OBLIGATION to leave room since Max was already along side. If I walk into a gang club knowing I am likely going to get shot, am the one who is wrong if I do get shot, or it the person that pulled the trigger?
ANY driver attempting to pass Hamilton on the inside of a turn knows, full well, that Hamilton NEVER leaves the room required by the rules. NEVER. Hamilton will squeeze the apex as if the alongside driver isn't even there. EVERYONE knows it. Hamilton will ALWAYS force the collision, in direct violation of the rules. Now then ... should drivers refrain from trying to pass Hamilton, knowing that he will always cause the collision? One driver, has finally answered: he will try to pass anyway, knowing that Hamilton will do his signature illegal squeeze. That statement is NOT AT ALL the same as accepting guilt for the collision. Not even close.
Ive seen people slandering Lewis here, ive seen people claim LH was responsible for Mattas pit stop Really? " "I went round the outside in turn one, and I just felt it as soon as I was going next to him that he had no intention to leave me space, and I was like, 'Okay if you are not going to leave me space then we will just collide'. "I thought after last year, we could forget about it and finally race. But you feel it with a driver - if he is going to leave you space or not - and there was zero intention to leave me space." admits he knows at mid way point in turn 1 he is going wide and the door is closing, but carrys on knowing he is going to hit Lewis. His god dam words........ Its Max's moto ffs, your a max fan and dont even know he races on a " you back out or we crash" kinda thing.......... Stewards never once said Lewis needed to leave space, they said he could have done, but we all know he wasn't required to under the rules. Under the rules, which are very specific, max needed his front wheels level with Lewis's at the apex of turn two, seeing as he hit the back of Lewis front wheel, he wasn't entitled to be given room. That's the rule. The race have a vid up explaining it.. https://www.google.com/search?q=verstappen+hamilton+brazil+crash&oq=ver&aqs=chrome.0.69i59j69i57j69i60l3j5j0i67j0i273j46i67j0i131i433i512.1182j0j4&client=ms-android-ee-uk-revc&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:40633b1f,vid:R5lVl1OaqSk
Can you imagine the caustic and absurd comments here had LH pulled that move in Brazil lol. The literal hate would be amazing.
Max hasn’t changed. The rules changed to ensure dive- block and run competitors off track were penalised by a system not employing Masi. The incident was simple and a penalty applied. Brundle?? Currying favor with RedBull but he lacked the data the Stewards have lol. I’m glad he has an opinion of course
The comments of sky are irrelevant a race after its lovely all inclusive including neways spicy wings meeting at redbull home in Milton Keynes and an instant change of narrative from max bad to supporting every thing redbull do, even going from being highly critical of its over spend to quishing it immediately after its meeting.. Brundle is just following new orders from above... Its why we haven't seen Ted for a while....
It's a case of aggressive defense against aggressive attack. Who is at fault ? Who to penalise in case of contact ? That will be a forever debate among fans, depending which driver you prefer. Having watched F1 for decades, I find that aggressive defense is on the increase, caused by the cars being so close in performance, IMO. It's also often not punished, compared to aggressive attack.
He brought it on himself. You guys with your hate word omg someone hates your idol. omg hate . so strong so what.
I think people would get less upset if a lot of these collisions were deemed a racing incident and no penalties were given.
It maybe that the FIA tried to prevent aggressive driving by punishing it, but it doesn't think to work. You still have drivers who publicly justify making deliberate contact. That cannot be considered as "racing incident".
I'm not going to keep talking about what Max said, what happened, who was right who was wrong. The point I am making is if more collisions were called racing incidents, and that was the common practice, people wouldn't be crying for someone to get penalized every single time.
It's a tactic now. Get on the inside then on corner exit the outside guy is run off into the weeds.... ...maybe it's just lack of guilt that you'd possibly kill someone like in the old days... ....maybe it's all that extra pavement... sjd
I usually see Hamilton on a yatch, traveling, doing fashion, music, or racing. I don't see news of him forcing grown men at gun point to post on Fchatt about him.
Lewhovah Witnesses. They bring us the good word of His Hamiltonness. Thou must not take His Lewisness name in vain. His Lewisness can do no wrong. Repent your hate and be forever in His Lewisness favour Renounce Max and all his works. Reject the opening of Abu Dhabi's gates to the firepit of lost championships. Be baptised by a pirelli tyre doing a burnout on your head. Ham-men
This is why Max will never be Hamilton. Haven't heard anything about Max since he won the championship. Like others, the guy has nothing interesting. Hamilton hasn't won a race and is constantly in the news and the most discussed driver here. Other drivers so boring.
I don't think Max will ever be like Hamilton with regards to what Max does outside the track. That's not Max's intention. It's not that Max has nothing nteresting, Max is more like 95% of F1 driver champions that we have seen in the past in F1 history. Lewis NEEDS and CRAVES the attention. Max doesn't....and I personally like that. I think you're having a hard time differentiating the personalities and characteristics between both drivers. They are completely different. Most of us aren't making that distinction like you are.
