It's Hamilton's classic move, he does it to teammates as well. Never gets called-out for it. IMO Lewis is fine driver(with the above reservation) but he is an unrelenting narcissist. His every word and action is crafted to maximize his social media footprint--and it works.
Does max not sit at home on his games console? Even during race weekends? Can't picture old before consoles existed champions spending their free time playing fifa and Co.... Lol I hope your not a max fan, even as a ferrari fan ( mostly because leclerc plays too) i know maxs hobby is gaming out side f1 and he doesn't like the attention which is one of the main reasons he feels his current contract might be his last... Shocked you didn't know... Opps sorry, I forgot. I'm not a ferrari fan, max fans tell me I am a Lewis fan.. Silly me... Will have to get me self some of those 50/50 scarfs.. Bas, where can I get one? U have a ferrari Redbull 50/50 accessories right? I need a ferrari Lewis Hamilton one ( no merc pls, I am only a Lewis fan boy not a merc fan boy...) what website you use? Thanks
We will agree to disagree. Lewis gets attention because he is more interesting and unique to F1. Unlike Max. Nothing to do with craving attention. I know people who crave attention, but they fail because they are not interesting. You made my point when you said Max is like 95% of past champoins. All the same doesn't stand out. Hamilton is 5% like past champions, unique. Watch this thread reach 300 pages, unlike Max thread.
If Max wants a quiet life outside the F1 circus, I don't blame him. Not everybody enjoys constant exposure and the invasion of privacy that goes with it.
Elton is the most boring driver ever...absolutely no personality at all...just rehash talk, over and over again...the team is amazing, you're teh best fans, blah, blah, blah, i don't thin i ever heard him say something without being programed, nothing original or spontanious comes out of his mouth....expt when his moaning, trying to get others drivers punished or trowing his team under the bus. At least he dresses like a clown, that's the funniest part about him!
That's what you think. Max has his life as he lives it. It may not be what you think a "life" is, but it is his life as he lives it.
Bingo. Max is a pure racer, Lewis is a celebrity. Max doesn't care about social clout. Lewis is all about it. The only "social" thing Max does it sim racing, and even then the only reason he streams is because the team he races for (Redline) is to help them out, as the way they make money is via twitch etc. Max doesn't manage Twitch, chat, anything...just turns on the cam when he's racing and chats to his sim racing team. Max never being like Lewis isn't an insult, it's a damn compliment.
My thought is the media don't post much about his off track life compared to Hamilton is because Max is less interesting.
Who says Max doen't have a life? He may have hobbies, socialise with friends, go on trips or do many things he doesn't want to share with everybody. I can fully understand if he wants to keep that for himself rather than seek constant publicity. Probably that Hamilton attracts detractors by trying to be in the limelight all the time.
Where is your interest in F1, if you compare drivers according to media exposure ? To be honest with you, I find Hamilton LESS interesting since he stopped winning ! I follow F1 for the racing, not the gossip columns in the gutter media.
Avoiding attention can be a subtle art. So few have mastered it. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Here is an instructional video that you might find helpful...
maxs sim set up. Read the sign. Sums up his attitude to social media. Sorry mods on my phone so can't sensor it, I'm sure people will cope. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm not making a value judgment. I'm just pointing out that he obviously seeks attention, contrary to the claims some make.
That's ok if he wants to keep his life private. Its ok if Lewis wants to keep his life public(possibly helps with the brand/bussiness ventures). My point is even if Max want to live in the public, we won't see much media on him compared to Hamilton, Max has less force, and interest globally.
I follow F1 for the racing mainly. Becuase I'm a Hamilton fan, I may take interest into his off track ventures from time to time. As with other drivers. Totally fine if some poeple do this or don't. No rules in being a fan. You find Hamilton less interesting..... looking at the media and this forum, you are a minority on that! Which is fine.
Doing what you feel is a sublte art. Dressing as you feel is a subtle art. Being different is a subtle art. Standing up for what you believe in is a subtle art. Personally I think Hamilton is not public enough about his life. He shares with his fans. Leclerc's fans hadn't heard from him in 3 months. I hope Hamilton shines as bright as he ever has. If you are subtle and private be that. But If you are not.. SCREW BEING SUBTLE!!! I hope Hamilton share more to his fans, I think he needs more social media presence! If haters hate, let them hate!!
