430 Modern Ferrari 430 Tail Light - Possible GROUP BUY?

That is the perfect situation for using it!

With the gleam on your car, gonna be a total showpiece!

In pics it seemed to make a bit of difference the car color, but in person I think not so much, they will look great on any F430.

They're not going anywhere, take your time! I always take much longer to do these things as I take my time with every single aspect of it. It's probably therapeutic.

I have found one caveat though,.... you have to manage your enthusiasm.

After seeing them glow, I burst into the house and told my wife, 'THESE LIGHTS ARE ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!'

She says 'I don't recall you ever talking about me like that!'

I'm a backpedaling master but I wasn't getting out of that one....

 

Maybe one of these days Byron will make his taillights for a 360 and we can do another group buy!!!!

 

It's a fairly straightforward install, but the 2nd side went smoother and faster than the first, hopefully this is helpful.

PBE Taillight install procedure
Tape off under the lights

Snip the wire wrap tie inside the engine bay

Remove 3 nuts on R2 (or L2) - R2 had more room, so probably better to start with this side

Watch out for slotted washers, 2 of my lights had them, fortunately the insulation below makes a nice catch tray

Label position/screw location of washer that is under the nut so you can put it back as it was, since it is shaped to the car

Slide taillight out (feed wire from the back), disconnect the connector

Label taillight (R2) and stow in box

Clean and label connector (R2)

Feed connector gently through slot angling it to get it through

Clean area and mount

Repeat on outer light (R1)

Both lights out

Insert PBE R1 taillight so it's flush with the mount bracket (feed the wires down under the car mount bracket) with no washers and see where it sits

Insert rubber washers against the lights where it needs to move up, or right/left. If a screw doesn't need a rubber washer for positioning, just add a metal flat washer

Once position looks good by just inserting it, hold it there, then add the washer you marked up before and a lock nut

I tightened the top nuts almost firm to keep the lights high, then tighten the others and then going in turn, tighten the nuts firm, setting final positioning, watching movement (it will move a millimeter or so)

Check for clearance from the car on the sides of the lights while you're doing this

Once they're both installed and fitted, connect the lights to each other with the smaller connectors

Connect the harness to the lights, then the car

Test

Zip tie up the wires

You're done!

This procedure, with the equipment and materials above, install went really smoothly.

Got my lights today! Super pleased with how they look in person and can’t wait to install them. Most importantly though, they came with stickers that I get to stick on my toolbox

Man, why was I even on the fence about these? They're 100% better looking in person that I could have expected. I am so glad I pulled the trigger eventually even though I missed the GB price. Definitely not as bright as the Scud Ing Swiss that I just removed, but it's better than stock. I feel like the rear end has been refreshed. The clear centers always made a weird eyeball look to me and dated the rear. The blacked out centers are definitely the way to go while keeping the outers nice and bright red. I will say that I do wish there was some slight design in the plastic on the upper portion of the light, but it's an overall improvement so I'll take it.

And that's not even powered on, light 'em up and they are near otherworldly!

 

Agree. The glow around the entire back section is a nice touch.

 

Well they look incredible. Much better than I thought they would, it’s taken years off the rear end. I need to get mine done now quick sharp!
