Quite a low estimate, very little detail and scanty photos. Anyone know this car?

Edit; a quick search reveals that @greendino reunited a check from Chinetti to Ferrari with the owner whoever that was. Also a link in the thread to more photos of the car on the field. Nothing resembling a condition report tho.

Another edit: I see Marcel's report attached to auction

Any known reason for the (perceived) low estimate and low sell price? Is this the new market for these?

Low estimates usually attract more potential bidders. Dana Mecum is pretty smart and clever.
The car (together with several other classic Ferraris) came from the estate of the late Richard Grant and was available at no reserve.
I consider the price achieved correct for this particular GTS. Please let's be a bit more realistic.

Thanks Marcel. I did read more regarding the Richard Grant collection and his passing at 83 or so. Given that, would you believe that the cars from the estate may be in need of some recommissioning of significance to be roadworthy?
As for value of the 330 GTS in general, I had assumed that the asks of over $2M were an indication of the market. As I have not (yet) negotiated a purchase of one, the actual transaction price is not as clear to me. There was a gold car that went for somewhere around $1.5M at Amelia in the midst of covid; however, I figured that was an outlier due to unusual circumstances. Appreciate your input, as always.

Asking prices are never an indication of the market. They are pure fantasy, unrealistic and often unsubstantiated.

Agreed. We would be interested to know your perspective for the current "sell" price range on 330GTS...and 330GTC?
