    I totally agree with TF.
In my opinion (to which I’m entitled), I think the new Daytona is HIDEOUS.
Honestly, I wouldn’t even have it in my garage.
People need to realize the the REAL Daytona earned its name by decimating the competition at the Daytona speedway.
The 250 GTO (not its given name) was a competitive masterpiece, both in looks and performance.
Also, the GTC and California Spider were magnificent.
I truly hope they stop with this ridiculous renaming.

    ^ Agreed.

A lot of what Ferrari is putting out these days is overstyled, and nothing exemplifies it more than that thing. Wish they'd bring back Pininfarina.

Went you can’t beat the competition with performance you do it with (over)style and execution. Tough times ahead for the publicly traded Ferrari

The Ferrari Daytona is named the Daytona because it, ( the Daytona/365 GTB/4), decimated the competition at Daytona Speedway? When did this decimation happen?

"People need to realize the the REAL Daytona earned its name by decimating the competition at the Daytona speedway."

My impression is the Ferrari 365 GTB4 and GTS4 have informal nickname of "Daytona" but not called that formally by the company. This is similar to the Jaguar Mark IV nickname, which also was a model never formally called that by Jaguar.

The informal nickname "Daytona" was given to the street cars in honor of the Ferrari 1-2-3 at 1967 Daytona in the 330 P3/4, 330 P4, and 412 P cars which don't share engines or body parts with the 365 GTB4 ?

There are race results for the 365 GTB4 appearing not to show any wins at Daytona for the 365 GTB4 are compiled at https://www.racingsportscars.com/type/results/Ferrari/365%20GTB__4.html

So I was wrong - I thought the 365 GTB/4 won something at Daytona.

I wish they would stop bringing back old names, even if it wasn't official previously. And the SP3 is one difficult car to look at, from any angle in my opinion.

WOW, In my honest opinion...I think the new SP3 is the culmination of thousands of hours of previous other cars design development and knowing what works and what doesn't work ..I think it has the passion of a P4 with the technology right up to date..
I would go as far to say it is superior from every angle.

Funny how they have not used Dino yet?

An interesting story and amazing win is when an old 1973 Daytona won the 1979 24 hours of Daytona GTO class and came in 2nd overall. Pretty amazing story, even more so with the passing of the team owner the night before the race. I was at the Daytona 24 hours in 1979 and remember it racing with a black stripe to honor the owner.

+1. That said, the Roma looks like a modern 365 “Daytona” and the Roma Spider is going to be as close as you can get to the look of a Daytona Spyder now.

Overall I do like the Roma - except for that front grille; I thought I'd get used to it, but can't seem to - I love what Capristo designed, for those who want a more traditional look. It makes the OEM grille look aftermarket.

Me too actually. Funny enough when the car launched I expected a revision or aftermarket exactly like that - even Aston had to back up on the new Vantage and start offering the vaned grille again!

Except, if the car "needs" a blacked out roof to look good...then the design is not as good as it could be..

    for instance:
