You just lost 10% of the value now. KIDDING!! Congrats on the mileage. I’m embarrassed to say, I’ve had mine for 3 months and just filled it up for the 2nd time.

I’m only at 1,500 (July 22 delivery), but I have two other cars (458 and STO) which I drive a lot.

Not to worry, I’ll catch up. It’s top down weather here in FL.

My favorite always seems to be the one I just drove.

With the winter setting in I haven’t been driving as much as I’d like. May we all continue driving and enjoying in great health!!

I'd like your thoughts on f8 vs 458.

Got 600 miles on my F8 and took delivery mid-November. I also have a 2014 F12 with 11,900 miles. Have put 4,900 miles on it in 20 months if ownership.

On my way to 25.000 miles
One of my concerns is the 12,500 mile oil service interval (US 7 year maintenance program)
I might start paying for a change every 6,000
Is 12,500 too long between oil change?

I'm right about 3,500 miles on my F8 spider since delivery at the end of June 22. Though I've put at least that many on my 812 in the same time period. My 812 is a little over 23k miles now, I use both cars as daily drivers pretty much.

I think its too long particularly for turbo cars

    Id pay at 6000max also

It hasnt worked well for bmw
Other than making sure once warranty is up its costs the customer

What is the recommended oil change interval on the 812? 12,500 miles?

Based on the annual maintenance, yes 12,500. But the computer ultimately is going to say yes or no to an oil change as part of the 7 years of maintenance.

You will find out that all Ferraris after Feb 2019 ( which the F8 is ) might not have the oil changed at the yearly service. Best to ask if the oil will be changed and then make the decision if you tell them to change it and most probably pay for it.

IMO ANY turbo engine should have the oil changed every 5K maximum.

I’m pondering this very issue right now. The first service is almost due on my 2,700 mile, 22 F8. In speaking with the service advisor, I learned that it’s likely that only the cabin air filter will be changed. I change the oil in all of my cars every year or 5,000 miles, whichever comes first. It seems like a total waste of time to present the car for service to simply change the cabin filter. So I’ll probably change the oil myself and skip the dealer service completely.

Be careful of skipping the service regardless even if they dont change the oil because I have been told you can open a can of worms i.e if something goes wrong and then warrantee. BTW it will show on your record.

It seems stupid that they dont change the oil especially on a highly strung turbo engine. But going this way has probably saved Ferrari Millions of dollars.

IMO you love the car, still get Ferrari to do the service but certainly change the oil whether you do it or pay them. Oil is what keeps the heart going.

FYI it has been noted here a Pista that basically saw most of its first 10,000 kms on a track still have the computer say no oil change. Thats ridiculous.

Needless to say, the customer was pissed off but paid for the oil change.

Just joined the crew. Sold the Roma and bought a 2022 f8 tributó. Passed on ordering one originally and opted for Roma. Roma a great car but a more mellow version the GTS so wanted something to really compliment and the f8 is killing it. Love it and the switch bw it and the 812. Should have listened to my AD

Friend of mine has a Blue Corsa with white and blue interior with a little over 10k miles. He has it lowered on Novitec springs and did a full cat-delete exhaust and tune around 4k miles ago. Car was on Dragtimes recently too. His car has been solid!

So correct... oil changes are key and driving the car is key too. Cars with miles seem to have less issues.

Ive noticed in all brands when we paid it was very often oil changes often sometimes excessive

Now they pay its clearly not required lol

Read between the lines on this one

Turbo cars often these turbos are so small and spin so hard change it often
Ive never changed oil and dry sump car but on other cars i just do an oil and filter change in between there service
