Oh, I thought they were only worth $5000. Nah, I was thinking at least $20K, but never looked them up or follow that market anymore as the Rolex Sub's are too small for my wrist. I wanted one, but tried one on and it looked like a toy on my wrist. Rolex Daytona was my next choice, but too small on my wrist also. Rolex Sea Dweller was my 3rd choice and it was juuuuuuuust right!
Yep, got the 1st Deepsea Blue in Aus back in early 2015 for $13,500. 44mm and it fits like a glove. Up Close with the Rolex Deepsea D-Blue (and Explaining the Ingenious Ringlock System) | SJX Watches (watchesbysjx.com) Image Unavailable, Please Login

When Frank Zappa appeared in Season 2 of Miami Vice as a drug dealer stuck on a boat off the coast of Miami, he called it 'weasel dust'. Is that what you prefer Rob? Discuss
Well, its quite simple. Whatever floats your boat is your drug of choice, whether it be alcohol, marijuana, cocaine, heroin, ice, MDMA, speed etc. Me personally? I don't believe in taking any recreational drug on regular basis (alcohol included) if the happiness is temporal, which it is. Again, this my personal opinion. Its not a judgement. It just how I live my life. I might get drunk a couple times of year and that's enough. Its fun and enjoyable. That same concept applies to any drug you care to mention. But I draw a line at frequent or regular drug usage. If I got drunk weekly, then clearly there is some underlying issue in me. Again, in my opinion only. I had a house mate who became an ice addict (he was an alcoholic and regular pot smoker before the ice addiction took hold). In his mind, he was self medicating. In fact, he drank half bottle of bourbon daily and smoked weed daily until he fell into the ice addiction (funded from an inheritance that was gone within a year). Even then, his drinking and smoking habits reduced but did not disappear entirely. He probably got drunk a couple of time a week. In my mind, he was just weak. I could understand if he got wasted once or twice a month - maybe, but daily? I have no tolerance or sympathy for that type of drug usage. We all know or knew of someone in our lives that regularly used illegal drugs or drank excess alcohol frequently. To put the above in context, I've been fortunate never really having an addictive personality and just being stoic. So I only know my own reality, as much as I may try to empathise. Having said the above, maybe living with me drove him to the ice addiction.
Maybe it isn't the drug and the real truth is how we have raised our kids and the toxic nature of modern societal norms. Oh - I lied before - I do have an addiction - its called going to the gym and that is where I'm heading to now. So have a good night Rob.
